Here is my review of each of the items included in my shipment. Overall I really enjoyed the box and thought it was a good value with a variety of textures, flavors and snacks both sweet and savory, from very bland to incredibly weird. Something for everyone.Most of the packages were in Japanese only so I tried to describe the package names as well as possible.CALBEE Sapporo Potato BBQ with Chicken and Beef – 85g-Light and airy puffed snack with a mild savory meaty flavor with a hint of smoke. I could eat a huge bag of these. 4/5Umaibo Corn Potage Taste Good Stick Dagashi-A light puffed potato stick with a hole in the center, dusted with what tastes like fresh sweet corn on the cob. I can’t read the ingredients but would not be surprised if this was coated in actual pulverzied dehydrated fresh sweet corn powder, it tastes just like a fresh ear of corn.Onoyaki flavored corn puffs-These tater-tot sized puffs are the texture of puffed Cheetos but even lighter and airer. Very slight hint of curry savoriness with a midly sweet and tangy flavor and the faint seafood finish of the green nori seaweed sprinkled on the outside. IncredibleWhite bag with old lady and guy on tree….-Very tiny puffed snacks, mostly just salty flavor, and a single nut in the bag among tiny puffsAji Karuta Honey & Soy Sauce Taste Rice Crackers Japanese Rice Crackers Bonchi-Very large rice cracker, about the size of a CD, fried puff rice coated with a light sweet and savory honey soy glaze. Tastes exactly like you’d imagine soy and honey to taste. Sort of plain, but still good.Glico Pretz Mild Salad Pretzel Sticks-This is the savoury version of Pocky, but this flavor is pretty boring. Tastes like a basic thin crispy bread stick cracker with a very mild salty’umami flavoring. These won’t offend anyone’s taste buds but it’s about as exciting (and tastes similar to) a Ritz Cracker.Hello Kitty Marshmallow with Chocolate Center-Tastes like a marshmallow with a tiny chocolate centerBroiled Squid snack-Soy and salt covered said “jersey”…..very very tough texture….feels like rippingn up cardboard in your mouth….flavor is very seafooody and salty….aftertaste of eating a big salty seafood dinner in your mouth as it rehydrates into your saliva. NOT MY FAVORITE but interestingLittle beef stick of some sort… like a milder slim Jim. Very tiny portion, only about 2 inches long.Shaped Sushi jellies on tray-Great presentation…..formed jelly on tray, with a backing to seal them. Comes with 7 pieces of sushi rice and seven various fish and other sushi topping forms in fruit flavors to make your own sushi. Fun to push out with mild and decliious fruit flavors. If you like any sort of gummy candy like bears or gummy life savers you’ll love these. Really funNestle Kit-Kat Green tea flavor snack size-Incredible, incredible. This is the good stuff. Mostly a white chocolate flavor with a slight hint of green tea. Shame it was only a snack/halloween size instead of a full bar. So good.Small, guy sticking finger in eye wrapper on chocolate-Tastes like a basic chocolate with crunch, like a Nestle CrunchSmall box with strawberry logo-Chewy candy with fresh sweet delicious strawberry taste, chews like gum. Slighty crunchy shell like a skittle with smooth chewy gum interior.Fried ramen “mini” snack Baby Star Noodle-salty crunchy delicious. Made from the reformed noodle dust of ramen, the flavor profile is similar. Not sure of exact flavor—mostly salty with perhaps a hint of chicken. Tastes like the ramen you know and love but in snack form.Umaibo Teriyaki Burger Flavor-Very light puffed potato, like the lightest and largest puff Cheeto you’ve ever seen, with a hole down the center and a coating of savory salty flavor that tastes a bit sweet and a bit meaty. GreatGlico Bisco Biscuit-Very tiny cookie with creme filling. Like a tiny golden Oreo with vanilla shortbread exterior and just hint of lemon flavor inside. Really delicious.Meiji superstring grape and muscat-One-hundred and twenty-six centimeters (that’s 50 inches) of sugary gummy goodness. Tastes like delicious fresh grape juice. Perfect for recreating the scene from Lady & the TrampABE SEIKA / CANDY ABEKKO RAMUNE Sugar candy 10 packages-Japanese soda drink in a candy form! This pack includes ten little packages of candies, two packages of each flavor! There are 5 different flavors: melon, strawberry, lemon, grape, and orange! So tasty! Very chalky, sweet flavors. Powder of the small tablets instantly dissolves into your mouth. green melon, pink strawberry, yellow lemon, purple grape,orange orange, Like sweet tarts but more powdery and better fruit flavors.UMAIBO— crab? Fighting flavor?-Just brings slight seafood flavor.Umaibo Sugar Rusk Flavor—(package shows playing soccer)-Wow, sweet, tastes like the lightest and most airy caramel corn I’ve ever had dusted onto a large airy puffed Cheeto texture. Great for those that like sweets.Deep Fried fish sheets, seasoned with salty and sweet sauce-Kind of chewy, tough like beef jerky. Very pronounced seafood flavor (but not “fishy”) with very crisp exterior, as if it is coated with fried panko bits and a bit of greasiness from being fried. Very similar to katsu in a way—the crispy fried pork chop that is popular in Japan. Salty flavor with hints of sweetness and even a tiny bit of spiciness. Really interesting and delicious in moderation, it’s very greasy.

Lots of unique and delicious stuff. There were 4 fishy things (katsu and something else like dehydrated filet?), but that was fine because I gave som to the cat. This was great fun! Totally worth the price. I have six kids 16-4 yrs in age, and they had friends over as well, and they loved the adventure of it. It was so much more fun than spending 40 bucks on fast food for a special treat. They still talk about it and remind me that they want me to order it again for birthday parties. Nice variety of sweet and savory items, there were very few things that didn't go over well. I think one shrimp flavored thing got fed to the dog. Terrific!Update: We ordered a second package and it's even better than the first! 63 items! And some new stuff, too. Best motivation for my kids to clean the house, ever! Will definitely buy again and again. Nice mix of sweet and savory!

I was very pleasantly surprised - as was my 13 y/o son who previously compelled me to sign up for the 3x month subscription from other snack aggregator, Bokksu. My shipment from this company came in 2 decent size boxes boxes (without design) but included a truly fantastic variety of sweet and savory type snacking foods (all from Japan, I assume, though I may be wrong). Anyway, this shipment completely blows Bokksu out of the water - they should take notes and spend less effort on their pretty packaging/marketing in favor of ramping up actual product quantity (as does this great little company!!).
