very light, took a 20 stone mans weight
After a week of wandering around deliberately putting pressure on these poles they have so far held up to 20 stone of man leaning on them, at 6ft tall these are plenty long enough for me.I was suspicious of the claims of being carbon fibre so I took one of the inner sections apart (see photo) to see if it was carbon fibre or if it was just wrapped aluminium, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was indeed a composite material. The weight for the pair including rubber ferules came to 470 Grams which is insanely light for 2 walking poles, these weigh half as much as my aluminium poles.I liked the cork hand rests, they stood up to sweaty palms and remained comfortable whilst retaining their grip on me. the included straps are comfortable and once adjusted lock firmly onto my hands.I found that I had to adjust the locking collars and clamp them down a bit tighter when setting the poles up, you do not need much force as the collars are plastic, they need just enough friction to prevent the poles collapsing under load. once the poles were adjusted i found I could lean most of my weight onto one pole without it collapsing under load.Having always used aluminium trekking poles I found the flex of the carbon a bit unnerving at first but thus far they have both held up well despite me leaning on them hard when walking. The good thing about carbon poles is their ability to absorb shock, my aluminium poles had internal springs to dampen the vibration to my hands whilst the carbon simply dont need this. For me the only negative is the bag, it isnt really needed, mine came with a badly frayed carry strap. to be honest the bag is going in the bin, it really was an afterthought by the manufacturer that cheapens the overall product.Overall I love these poles, they are supremely light, strong and very comfortable in my hands, the fact they have taken my 20 stone frame speaks volumes about their strength. buy with confidence. If you found my review of use please hit the helpful tab, many thanks.

Well worth the money.
I'm really pleased with the quality of these poles. Made from carbon fibre. Well designed, excellent adjustable section clamps so no slips between the sections. Plus a guide to the height you need for your size. Each section is clearly marked. So adjustment is really easy. You receive a number of different end pieces for different walking surfaces, plus 1 for muddy ground and 1 for snow. The hand grips are very comfortable too. I'm really glad I paid a bit more for a top quality pair of poles. If you buy these you won't be disappointed.

So handy, love them
Got these as I'm starting to do a lot more walking and they're great. Handles are comfortable, they're easy to set up and put down to store. Very useful and practical.

Stiff and lightweight but poorly made.
Lightweight and stiff, won't bent like an alloy pole but the clamps that fasten one section to the next although work well to stop the section moving are not properly adhered to the carbon. Both lower sections came away on the first walk and were useless. Once home I had to prepare the carbon poles properly and epoxy them in place.

Love these trekking poles!
I’ve been wanting to do an in depth review of these trekking poles for some time but leave it to 2020 to mess up best laid plans. My family and I took a trip away to where we could get out into wilderness and go hiking. My wife took a quick liking to these. They are indeed lightweight enough to be a great addition to your backpacking gear. They break down to a very small size. The thumb screws allow for just the right tension. I was very impressed with how professional these felt. Our carbon fiber poles are very sturdy and have been reliable. The grips are very comfortable for all day use. I’d definitely purchase these a second time.

i got what i expected to receive.
they arrived really quick.the walking sticks are light but solid. The expansion locks are firm and secure. I chose carbon Fibre of Aluminium Alloy. I am not solid on my feet (having suffered a stroke several years ago. Balance (or more particularly, the lack of balance) is still an issue for me. The sticks should give me some balance support when needed.they are not Nordic walking poles. I did not expect them to be. I have not been able to get into sync with the Nordic Walking Rhythm but I expect that more due to my brain
