These helped our gate fit across a wide hallway. The extra wide gate barely fit and was very unstable, constantly went wonky and had to be adjusted multiple times a day. It would not have been safe at all for a child. Our gate has an additional section you can add, but that made it like 2 inches too big.I folded a bit of cardboard and set it into the indents of these guards for an extra 1/2” or so and I haven’t had to adjust the gate in a month, it spans the area now and stays in place despite our 40lb dogs ramming themselves through the cat door in the gate. These are sturdy and give us that tiny bit extra we needed to span a wide hall.

These arrived perfect. They are pretty self explanatory but come with instructions. They are awesome for securing your gate without the need for screws in your wall if you don't want them, although you can also screw or permanently mount them on your wall if you want to. The guards for the top of the gate are bigger then I expected or ever seen and seemed strange at first but they are easy to use and I really liked them when they were installed. They added about an inch or inch and a half to the gate. I like this because the gate I got would have been too small or too big with the extensions. These guards made it a perfect fit and look very nice. Worth the money 100%. 👍

If you are ordering a pressure gate, these are a must. Had I not ordered these the gates that I got to keep my dogs out of the hallway/spare bedrooms would not have worked. Even though the gates have sections that can be inserted or removed to adjust the size, depending on the size of the opening, these add a little more adjust-ability and a ton of stability to the gate once installed. Plus, they will help keep your walls from being damaged.

Excellent protection for walls when using pressure mounted baby/pet gates. It makes the gate more stable as well. I little pricey but worth it to prevent wall damage and help the gate to stay put. The smaller guards are flexible enough to mould around a baseboard which also helps keep the gate in place. If I have another pressure gate in the future, I would buy them again.

Great product! Exactly what I needed. It's soft, but firm. Won't scuff your wall and once you get it set in it ain't moving. We have a couple of active dogs and they hate that gate because those wall guards insure it ain't moving. It has insets that are large enough for pretty much any application. They have nice weight to them and come apart if you need just a little more clearance for the wall. Trust me you won't be disappointed. My wife absolutely loves them!

Really helps to protect my walls from the tension of the baby gates. Easy to use and well worth the investment to save your sheetrock from damage. Flexible enough to secure the gate over moulding at bottom. After installing the gate is very secure and holds in place even when our large cat jumps up and pushes off of the top rail.

I only used the thinnest guard on the top part of my gate, because the others were too large for the door frame. Plus what I've used isn't fitting perfect but I had no choice.

These are exactly what I was looking for, I needed to protect the newly painted walls and also needed about another inch to make the gate fit perfectly. These added the space and are wide and soft enough to not let the walls be damaged. Only con was that the silicon was cracked on one of them, its still doing the job though.
