The original part had dried out and was cracking. It's great to have replacement parts available that can extend the life of an expensive vacuum.

This is the easiest and cheapest fix you can do on your own and greatly improved the suction 💯%.

Perfect replacement for the duct cover on top portion of the ball mechanism on our dc41. Fits other models as well. Our rubber gasket on our cover was torn causing a loss of suction. This fixed the issue. No tools necessary other than maybe a small flathead screwdriver to help prey the old part off, you need to prey the sides wide to release the part to replace. The new one just snapped in one side then press in the other. Once you get the new part and see how it is oriented it will be very obvious what is needed. 5****

Worth the buy.

My DC41 upright vacuum was making a horrible squeal, and had lost significant amounts of suction. Replaced this part located under the dustbin and now this thing works like it was brand new.10/10 would recommend!

While my dyson is still under warranty this was the quicker way of getting the piece i needed when they were out of stock and would take forever. I got it quick and it was a perfect fit! Amazon for the win instead of waiting on a backorder piece that can take over a month to get in.

Rest to replace. Vacuum works a lot better
