The content is great. But if you’re not interested in the content, the book is stunningly beautiful and would make a great coffee table book or addition to a bookshelf.However, the content is the important part, and it’s accurate, factual, well laid out, and overall beautiful imagery too

What’s not to like? This book is a feast of fascinating information and full of fabulous photos and illustrations on quality paper. It’s a book to enjoy and to treasure.

If you like ancient Egypt get this book. Spamming thousands of years it’s got maps beautiful pictures and condensed information on so many topics. Great book

Picked this up as a coffee table book and ended up reading way more than I thought. The photos are stunning—loads of tomb art, statues, and artifacts—and it’s laid out in a way that’s easy to dip in and out of. Covers the dynasties, pharaohs, daily life, all that good stuff. Bit surface-level if you’re deep into Egyptology, but perfect if you just want something beautiful and informative to flip through.

Best, most visually stunning book on Egypt currently available. I read it before a recent trip to Egypt, and it provided an excellent foundation for understanding ancient Egyptian history, culture, and monuments. Highly recommended for anyone planning to visit Egypt or just interested in one of the world's truly greatest civilizations.
