All I can say is it does what it's designed for for and I can use my camera all day without worrying about killing my battery.

Exactly what I needed
Are you tired of your battery draining right in the middle of a photoshoot or while recording an event? Nothing is more frustrating, especially if the camera is mounted on a tripod and you have to remove everything to replace the battery. I bought this to record church services because my battery wouldn't last long enough. Easy to use, and most cameras have a little flap on the door to put the cord through.I haven't had any issues. I waited to write a review, to make sure it lasted and worked as promised. You will not be disappointed with this product.This isn't a fake review or a paid review.It works, it doesn't overheat, and it will not destroy your camera.I use it on a Canon PowerShot SX60.

Fit and worked fine
This unit fit our Power Shot perfectly. It provided plenty of power to shoot with flash and do editing on the camera. Came with clear instructions on how to utilize the cameras built in cable.slot which I never noticed before. This is important because the unit won't work unless the battery door is closed

Simple to apply. Lightweight. Recommended accessory/modification.
I only have the one camera that has an internal battery and won't run from USB directly, the rest are the external click on variety and will run from a USB power source, both methods being more convenient for me since I don't do much hand held, on the go kinds of shoots.This won't add weight to my camera because it actually weighs less than a battery. I'll be able to keep the camera mounted on a tripod or a gimbal now for as long as my choice of external power will supply it.ONE YEAR UPDATE APRIL 2021: Now I'm using this adapter almost all the time that I'm in range of an AC outlet. It is so convenient to be able to concentrate on the camera settings and the composition or just review menu options, and not be undermined by the need to replace the battery.

DOES NOT FIT SX-50
The listing says specifically that this is for an SX-50 - not true. This adapter is twice the thickness of the battery compartment.
