Excellent motherboard
0 problems. Install was super easy and it looks amazing, packed with features too and the headers are in good locations. Love the ability to flash the bios before set up and also it comes with temperature sensors. It’s been roughly 15 years since I built a PC and this was my first time back since becoming a full time mac user. I can’t give it enough plaudits. Really worth the money!

For creators & music producers
I’ve been looking for AMD platform motherboard with thunderbolt. This one meets my expectations as I wanted.Thunderbolt is working perfectly with my Universal Audio Apollo Twin quad which has thunderbolt 2 connection so I’ve used TB2 to TB3 adapter from apple. My pc build:Ryzen 7 5800xB550 vision d-p ( d-p means it has usb-c header ) 2x thunderbolt 3EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3Sabrent rocket plus 1TBCrucial P2 2TB nvme4x16GB Corsair dominator c16 3200Liam Li o11 dynamic mini750w PSUNZXT kraken z637x Arctic P12Dell s3220dgf va 32” 1440p 165hz

Great higher end B550 board
Great for gaming. As a high end b550 it comes with more features and just overall quality than the lower end X570 boards, though if you want high overclocking potential a high end X570 might be more appropriate. I had to update the bios for stability when using ryzen 5000 series but once done I've had no stability issues. WiFi built in. USB-C header which the more basic plain D version doesn't have. Nice clean look. Overall a nice board and have been gaming 4k with no issues really.

Good looking and easy to setup
Comes with a useful manual explaining the various headers, error codes and also a disc containing all the drivers you'll need for the motherboard (saves you manually downloading them).Good looking and easy to use bios.No need to update the bios on a Ryzen 5 5600x processor 👍

Major USB Issues
I migrated to AMD after over 20 years of using Intel and what a mistake. I bought this board and all I've had is USB issue. I ended up having to buy a USB 3 PCIe card as many of my USB devices simple wouldn't work with the board's USB 3 ports. There's a major issue with the B550 and X570 chipsets with Gen4 and power. AMD have just removed their F12 latest bios so there's definitely major issues going on. To top everything off I also cannot control my fan speed on the system fan headers with the exception of the CPU header. They're reporting to be at 0 Rpm.I'm not contemplating returning this motherboard because I've already spent too much time trying to resolve these issues.

Can't Install Windows via USB
Bought this motherboard for the gaming PC I recently built. As I was looking for a board that had wifi and would fit in with the white aesthetic of the build, I went with the Gigabyte B550 D-P. Physically installing the board into my Lian Li 011 Dynamic Mini Snow case was easy enough (if you're using the same case as I did, don't forget to install the motherboard extension bracket before installing the motherboard), as was populating the board with the necessary components.Unfortunately this motherboard could or would not install Windows via USB no matter what I did. Tried every single USB port, fiddled around with different BIOS settings, etc. The board just refused to read the install software on the USB drive. I wound up connecting an external disc drive to my PC and running an install DVD which thankfully worked like a charm. My only small gripe is the typeface used on the BIOS -- I find it difficult to read and as a graphic designer it drives me nuts! The PC has been completed for a few days now and the board seems to be working fine. I really like the digital display that shows the board codes making it easy to diagnose any issues. I also like the white parts on the board that help tie it in to the rest of the build.I will update here if I find any major issues, but so far it is okay. If you are set on this particular board, just be aware that you may encounter the same Windows USB install issues.
