Women's Echelon 8 Running Shoe

I am a runner with anatomically flat feet (i.e., I don't have fallen arches) and wanted to try a shoe that was designed specifically for my foot shape. These shoes are extremely comfortable and provide plenty of cushion and support while I'm exercising. As I near the end of my run, I no longer feel the fatigue and numbness in my joints that I used to experience with other brands. These shoes are also very well made. I purchased my normal size 9 and they fit perfectly, with enough room to wear a thick sock and I could still wiggle my toes. The backs of the shoe do not slip at all. The laces are slightly stretchy, allowing me to tighten the shoes to just exactly how I like them to fit. I wish they came in other colors and were a little more stylish, but I'm glad I switched to this brand. I found out about Saucony by reading an article in Runner's World magazine that recommended their shoes for anatomically flat feet. I recommend giving these a try, even if you aren't a runner. I suspect they would be great for walking and standing for long periods of time.

I use these for walking. They are light, supportive and comfortable. My custom orthotics fit very well in the Saucony shoes, and together provide the support I need for a long walk (3-4 miles.) I am going to buy another pair.

I have ordered several pairs of the Echelon 6 but they are getting hard to find so I ordered the Echelon 8 thinking it would be an improved model. It seems very heavy and clunky when you run. For me, it makes a thunk when I hit the pavement (haven't run on the trail yet). The inner sides on the 8 are not reinforced well like the Echelon 6 --I have very wide feet and split the sides easily so I like the reinforcement on the 6s. I've only worn them a few times but not loving them so far.

This was the first time for me to order shoes online without trying them on and I was very nervous because I have always had a hard time finding comfortable walking/running shoes in the stores because of my flat feet. If the shoes have too high of an arch or too much arch support, it becomes very uncomfortable for me. I had a pair of Saucony Mystic that I wanted to replace, and after reading some reviews, heard that the Echelon 8 may work for people with flat feet. So far these shoes are extremely comfortable. Mostly I have used them for walking, and so far I have walked 1.5 miles without feeling tired or any pain, etc.

My feet were hurting so much every time i took my dog for a walk that i either had to get new shoes or stop walking her. I tried and returned many shoes before i tried these Saucony Echelons, and I’m so happy i kept searching. The gentle cushion beneath my feet now make my walks a joy. And i love the softness of the uppers. I would buy another pair if they came in different colors.Thank you Saucony! And my dog thanks you! 😊

Loved the cushion on this shoe! It is a strong, stable shoe that easily accepts an orthopedic that impacts knees, hips & back. It has a wide toe box, yet a snug fitting heel. Very comfortable. I hope they don't change the design of this model. I want more. JMac

I love Saucony shoes. They've been my go-to for years. During the pandemic I've mostly worn strappy sandals or flip-flops around my house. Hence, my feet have gotten wider. So I've been shopping for a new pair of Saucony's in a wide, not my previous medium. I've had to try numerous styles because, although they all were ordered in the same size (7) and width (W), each one was different.I did find a great fit finally - it's the Saucony Echelon 8. Super shoe for a wide toe-box and narrow heel. Highly recommended. It was the most expensive of the five different pairs I tried, but the quality and fit are worth it. I'm thrilled.

I was happy to find these sport shoes that fit.I had to reach this price point before I was satisfied, but they look nice and were comfortable right away. I have narrow feet and it seems shoes these days do not provide as much room as they used to in a size medium. I have always been happy with medium, and in this brand they worked.
