Q: Does anyone know if this will fit on the fordom drill press? That uses the flex shaft as a motor

I don't see why not it's only about 2and1-2inches tall.

Yes it does. Slightly doubt you’ll need it as it’s a very well built and professional grade vise.

Q: I have a Skil press with a 9" wide platform. About 5 7/8 wide bolt slots. Will this fit?

Robert I just measured my "OLD" Cummins 5 speed with a 12.5 inch plate. 6 slots angled into center that are 3.5 inch long X 1/2 inch wide slots. Looking at this picture of angled vise with good sized slots in it you shouldn't have any problems bolting it down to your plate. Jack

Q: Does anybody here use this as just a bench vise for small hobby projects, not with a drill press? Any issues, thoughts, etc?

Never even thought about using this with a drill press. I use it to sharpen tools and fabricate or repair small parts. It's bolted to my work bench in line with a bigger vise and the grinders.
