Rhode Island Novelty 10 Inch Pirate Boat, One Per Order

My son loves it. Takes it to his bath and plays pirates while watching his videos. Not as big as I thought it would be. But great product either way.

Amazing value for the money. My kids love it- 3 and 5 yr old boys. There’s not much else out there like this. A couple of the pieces can come apart and snap off and be removed, and the kids like to donit and then put it back together. I’m not sure if that’s part of the toys intention- but that’s what they do. This little silver piece on the top of the captains quarter broke off very early on because of the thin part of it just broke, but it doesn’t need it. I threw that piece out and you can’t even tell it’s missing.

I got this for my online pirate classes with Luma Learn where I teach about Caribbean history and culture and geography through the stories of the pirates. It's a cute little model ship that will do the trick to show the parts of the pirate ship, but it's flimsy as one might expect for the price. No complaints, however. I had made a paper and cardboard ship when I was in the islands, but when I moved to Mass, couldn't bring it with me, so this was my fill-in. It will do the trick just fine. But if it was being handled by kids, it wouldn't last a day! Particularly the sails. The main body is sturdy enough.

It’s a great product

You get what you pay for I guess. For only $10 this IS cool boat and my kids enjoy it, but it has some flaws that should be looked at. First off it doesn't float. With how detailed this is I assumed the thing would float, but it does not even come close. The pieces come off easily and go back on rather easily, but after repeatedly having to put them back on I dont see them lasting long due to wear. The overall look of the ship is AWESOME, but lacks in functionality. More of a floor toy and not a water friendly toy. For the price maybe it would be better to sell this as an "assembly required" toy since all of the pieces just snap together anyway and are not permanently fixed. It would make it fun to put it together like a model and add to the value of the toy, in my opinion. Maybe if some were sold as a kit and some already assembled?? I don't know how that would work exactly, but it's an idea. I don't regret buying it, but I just think it would have been WAY cooler if it could actually float. The fact it doesn't float is a real let down. If it doesn't matter to you if it floats then this is a great buy because the quality is good and the detail is exquisite.

Ugh I usually always give great reviews for products. You're probably looking at this ship thinking "why not?" Right? Well I'll tell you why. It's a giant piece of SHIP. Haha but seriously this thing sucks, it's on wheels, which I wasn't expecting, so there's holes in the bottom, so it doesn't float?! Why would a ship not float ? Anyways. It's SO cheaply made. It was broken when it arrived! Into several pieces! And it only got worse as I tried to take it out of the box. Sure for older kids it might be fun, but even as an adult, I don't see any desire. I'm sooooo disappointed!!!!! I paid too much for this piece of ship lol

Lo compré junto con un Kraken y mi hijo disfrutó simulando la escena de piratas del caribe. Tiene piezas que se salen de su sitio, pero muy fáciles de volver a colocar. Es un juguete totalmente de plástico, pero tiene suficiente resistencia para el juego, que es una batalla agresiva con el Kraken :) Para el precio que tiene no se le puede pedir más, bonito diseño y suficiente resistencia.

Got the pirate ship today, guess what??????? it only floats on its side. the box says sail the seas etc and you can also buy sailors but unfortunately they have to swim along side. WHO MAKES A BOAT THAT DOES NOT FLOAT UPRIGHT? Seriously my 3 year old grand son threw it on the ground most upset. Do the makers realise that boats go in water, have you ever seen one. To save face I will plug the holes on the bottom and open the ship and put in some ballast hopefully then make it sail upright. As for getting the sailors one review says that some of the figures don't stand but fall over. this will make this excersise too dangerous for them, I cannot let them drown. back to the drawing board Rhode island Novelty. glad Australia are building out war ships.
