Other people may complain about how the ball is manufactured out of rubber and not leather. The ball still is very durable, as I have had it for a while, and it has yet to disappoint. Oh I know it’s not the best ball on the market and it doesn’t cost much but you give this to a five year old and watch what happens. The little guy who received it thought he was in the NBA. This was a gift to one of my health aids sons. She has been with me for some time and goes out of her way to make things for me easy. She is the mom of two little boys who I’ve pretty much watched grow up. I have a granddaughter but she’s hundreds of miles away and we do face talk just about every day but it’s not the same. Her mom, my daughter, won’t let me spoil her with gifts. Funny though she was spoiled. I do enjoy children and love having them around me. After my wife died I sold the house and deliberately found an apartment where there were children. Well I guess I got off the subject of the basketball. The ball seems to be smaller and lighter than I remember when I was shooting the hoops. The description states it’s an official NBA seize and weight so I guess it’s fine. I was more interested in the statement the ball was designed for outdoor use as that’s exactly where the ball will be used. The price was another factor. His mom has told me countless times that he has either lost or given his toys away, even though she’s with him at the play ground. He had an old hand me down ball which didn’t hold air and he left that behind so loosing $12.00 won’t be a big problem. I know he doesn’t live in the best section of his town and that too is another reason purchasing a more inexpensive ball made sense. As I stated, watching this little guy go nuts when he opened the box was worth a hundred times the price.

This is a decent quality ball for the price. It's easy to dribble and shoot with large or small hands. It has good bounce and handling ability on a wide range of outdoor surfaces. It's the perfect playground ball. It's not slippery or awkward feeling at all. It has a nice grippy rubbery surface. The first ball I received had the a part of the orange coating peeling off. I returned it as defective and ordered a replacement. The second ball was fine. After numerous trips to the court, including dribbling on the way to and from the court, the surface of this ball is still perfectly fine with no peeling. That convinces me that the first ball was just defective. Defects can happen to any ball, even the $100 "Official" NBA leather balls. If you're shopping for an outdoor ball, avoid costlier balls and just grab this one.

Overall I am very happy with this basketball. There is definitely a great grip to this ball and it does feel very durable which is a must for an outdoor ball. I had absolutely no problems with the bounce of the ball. The ball comes inflated but I adjusted the PSI by adding a bit more air to it. I have played basketball competitively and I felt very comfortable using this ball on an outdoor court. I will advise those players that are used to playing indoors and using an indoor ball, this ball may feel a bit light to you. Other indoor balls may use leather or composite materials which are heavier than what is used on this ball. This is certainly not a major negative for this ball as it just takes a bit of shooting to get used to. I could still easily make shots and great passes after a bit of practice time with it. Overall this ball is definitely worth the asking price and then some. If you are looking for a durable yet affordable outdoor ball, look no further than here. From beginner to pro, this ball will surely please all.

I should start by saying I loved this basketball so much I ordered a second one to have on standby in case anything happened to the first. However, the second one arrived and was much different and of a lesser quality. I looked through reviews and think the majority (if not all) of the 1-star reviews are from people who received the subpar ball from a seller instead of the listed ball. This ball has great grip, holds air wonderfully and arrived inflated. I was happy to see a basketball arrive that was not deflated and shoved into a bag as this often times creases the ball and impacts it in the beginning of use. I loved the ball so much, I bought a second one within a few weeks! However, the second one was not the same basketball. I have attached photos of the two basketballs that I ordered from the same product page. The higher quality and listed basketball was from Amazon while the cheaper version was sold by BargainsTODAY. I should have waited until the product was available from Amazon before ordering another. I paid for my impatience. If you are concerned about the 1-star reviews I think it is safe to assume they received the wrong basketball. You can even see this in some of the other photos.

I play 3-4 days a week on concrete and this ball has held up better than any other I have played. I have used it for about 4 months and the tread is showing signs of wear but it still has great grip. It is better than the indoor/outdoor balls or the other brand street balls. One problem I had was sand got into the inflation valve and it started losing air. Someone on the court told me use some oil on the inflation needle and that worked. Whenever I play a street game, everyone chooses this ball. Probably because of the grip and weight.

Before purchasing this item, I've found myself re-buying $15 basketballs every month. They were awful quality with no grip, they eventually got swollen in some areas until it became unusable. Finally, I decided to buy a real basketball, and after a few hours of searching, I found this extremely cheap basketball. Not only is this basketball cheap, but it's really sturdy, considering how hard my floor is in my backyard. The grip is so perfect that even I don't lose the ball and I'm not the best dribbler! There are no flaws with this ball [as of yet], but I'm certain there will be none in the future. I've had the ball for a month or two, and it looks and feels virtually the same. I do not regret this order one bit, and neither will you. If any of you are looking for a decent pump, I suggest checking out Tachikara TP20 Dual-Action Inflation Pump. This definitely isn't the nicest or most expensive basketball you can get, but it's a solid choice and I love it! I've been using mine for over 3 years now and it's still going strong. No scratches or deflating. It has decent grip and is great for playing on outdoor courts, I've used it on indoor courts too without any issues. It has a good bounce, is durable, and easy to play with. No issues, would be a good gift as well for someone that needs a new ball.

Just unpacked the ball. Did the pressure "bounce" test (drop from shoulders and see if it bounces to just above your hips) and surprisingly this ball is correctly pressurized! I honestly did not expect it to be so on target (not that it would be a problem since I have a pump) however it is a nice little bonus!

I'm in England and the ball came 3 days early. Although the ball came deflated for me, i had good intuition and bought a pump and generally after using the ball for a week and a half, the grip is amazing and it really felt good in my hands. Too bad i could only use it for a week and a half because it got run by a punk ass driver and it now looks like an American football. But overall, no matter what region you buy this ball from, it's definitely worth the money
