How do you screw the hook and wire loop to the rods different threads

Each rod comes with a male and female thread, the hook and hole tie both have female threaded ends, hence they screw on very easily.

How thick are these rods in mm please?

The rods themselves are 4.1mm thick and the brass connectors are 6mm, hope this helps.
