So interesting to follow their travels!
This book follows the one year adventure of Pam and Dave. The original plan was to spend a year in Italy, but due to visa restrictions, they stayed in Italy, Croatia and the UK. It's a great idea and gave me a lot of inspiration for our next visit to Europe. The book is a quick read and provides a lot of good information about traveling abroad. I wholeheartedly recommend this book!

Braving the World - Traveling Long Term with Health Challenges
Braving the World is a very entertaining read. Author Pam Saylor has written a terrific travel book that clearly details the planning and challenges associated with long-term European travel, while successfully managing her type 1 diabetes.

Very informative.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experiences the writermust read for people who travel with any health issuesโฆ.and very useful for any traveler seeking unexpected medical help overseas. Readers need to be aware that driving a rental car outside European cities is and towns ipcan be done confidently if the driver has a good navigator. Michelin maps app recommended.

love letters in traveling
I loved this book! Very simple, practical hints and common experiences for all travelers. Italy, France, Egypt, Germany, Amsterdam, Paris, and Croatia! It all seemed very doable, after hours of planning and researching, and a willingness to wander and discover things off the beaten path (and away from the tourist areas).

A Good Read
Travel along with Pam and Dave as they overcome a lot of ups and downs to fulfill their dream of living abroad for a year. Visa problems had my stomach in knots, medical issues made me shake my head. They rose above it all and had a wonderful time. Pam has included travel tips that I wished I had known about when I was there. This is a great book for people that love to travel and for armchair travelers alike. I simply could not put this book down.

Authentic European Experience
Retirement years bring the opportunity to explore those yearnings of the soul that one hasn't had the time for up until this point. Pam's journey into the unknown with her husband Dave is a reminder to all of us to leave behind what is comfortable and known to be renewed and changed by moving outside of our comfort zones. I felt like I was with her each step of the way through her European experience and learned so much through her straightforward, thoughtful literary approach.

Loved it
You made me wish I were along for the ride. Now I long for adventure and travel to foreign lands although I doubt I will ever make the trip physically. I guess Iโll have to read myself to adventure vicariously.

Excellent travel writing
This was a very enjoyable and well written travel memoir. It brought back wonderful memories of some of my travels and I also was interested in the advantages of spending more time in each place.
