It is the perfect size to install in our bedroom door. It will allow return air to flow when the door is closed and the air conditioner is running.

I used this on a linen closet door. That closet air would get stale and this rectified the problem.Installation was easy. Measure 100 times and cut once. I got it centered at the bottom of a four panel door and it went in without any problems. The hardest part was figuring out which screws to use. They give you three sets and you'll use whichever one secures the vent depending on the thickness of the door. I did have some chipping when I cut my door that I had to touch-up. I'd suggest putting painters tape down before you cut to minimize this problem.The vent itself is plastic and it looks like it's plastic. It's a bit on the glossy side but, because it's at the bottom of my door, it isn't noticeable. I'd be leery using this product on a door that might get kicked; it'll break.

The template for the cuts is heavy stock paper making it easy to trace, even on a textured door. Provides a centerline making alignment easy. Links to a helpful video provided but weren't needed. Multiple options for thickness provided making it possible to install in many places. This should help our bathroom breath a little better both when the door is closed for privacy but also when the exhaust fan is on for showering. Door closes more firmly now too since there's no air pressure generated. Louvers can be counter aligned to ensure privacy as well. Be sure to use a level determining your positioning; this wasn't on the recommended tool list but should be. A version with a damper would be great so you could open or close multiple vents to work for seasonality of room air temps.

I took the door outside, marked it with the provided template, drilled corner holes for the saber saw, cut out the opening and simply mounted the new louvers.Helps vent the shower steam from a small bathroom and is rust proof.As the door is already white, I didn't have to paint the louvers.Seems a bit pricey for a molded plastic product, but it works very well.

This is a well made product that is designed so the two sides fit together securely so it lines up properly. The air flow is better than the vents with the cardboard insert. It comes with a pattern to help cut the hole and has different length screws for different door thicknesses. This is better than many of the more expensive vents. I used it for a bathroom door and it has allowed the exhaust fan to work much better.

This product comes with everything you need to complete the job.

This vent was easy to install. I needed better circulation between my laundry room and the rest of the house because the laundry room got so cold in the winter. I wish there were options for different sizes, as I think it should have been made 4" or 5" instead of 3".
