Amazing price. Good Quality. Perfect for my application of adjusting air flow through 3" PVC pipes
I bought 4 of these for half of the cost that my contractor supply outlet was selling just one of them for. They want $135 for just one. Different brand, but both made in China and appeared to be identical. You cannot have a T style handle on this size of plastic ball valve. You could never get enough torque with such a short handle. That's the only draw-back I can see. That is to say, you may have a situation where you have a tight application where you don't have the clearance to turn the long handle. I used these to control the flow of combustion air under 150 Fahrenheit in my R&D. I cannot believe they can manufacture and ship these for less than $16. It seems like the plastic and valve seal alone would cost more than that. I have four of these and there is nothing wrong with any of them. However, I am not using them for water plumbing, only combustion air. There is quite a bit of resistance when opening and closing these valves, but it is to be expected with such a large seal.

Great value. Quality.
Just got mine in. They are a high quality piece for the price. Slip connection is tight to the pipe. It is hard to turn the ball valve, but the handle is heavy duty and doesn't flex or feel like it will break. I can understand the tightness as there are thick seals on both sides of the ball.

The inside diameter is only 3 inches and the outside connection is 4 inches.

Big and hard to turn
This thing is BIG and heavy. Many of the reviews I read said it is difficult to operate the valve and gave suggestions such as using cooking spray or a silicone spray. I tried both and neither freed the valve to what one might expect as reasonable. Still, I did manage to operate the valve with considerable effort. My recommendation is that you secure the valve to something solid when it's installed so you can get the leverage you need to operate it. And, if the installation is outdoors, I'd recommend keeping it covered so that the big red plastic handle is not subjected to the sun, which in time will weaken it. To operate the valve that handle needs all the strength it has was designed with, at least.

Great Valve, Great Price
Perfect! Bought four to prepare our system to re-route effluent for a future engineered septic. They are tight to turn, no surprise given the size. A little plumber's grease goes a long way. Liked them so much we bought 2" valves for redirection of grey water.

Each and all items were satisfactory.
