Q: If you do not have a hay barn yet will the bale buddy keep a round bale dry for about 2 weeks before it is devoured?

Because the rain will shed off the sides of the Big Bale Buddy it will help to keep your hay dry, but if fed in an upright position, rain will still enter in the top of the bale. Hay will not mold during cold weather, but if a bale must be put out during warm rainy weather, it is recommended that you turn the Bale Buddy on it side to help protect the hay. Once the rain has passed, the Big Bale Buddy can be set in an upright position again.

Q: Has anyone used for cows?

Yes. I use it for mini cows. Since they are shorter I have to turn it on its side. Once they eat halfway through I flip it back upright. Has held up well

Q: Can some explain. If my bale has a net .. and i put this over the bottome then have to flip it.. how do u get the netting.off.?

Cut the net wrap down from the top of the bale about a foot. Once you have the Bale Buddy hooked over the bale you can cut the net wrap the rest of the way as you pull the Bale Buddy down. After you turn the bale you should be able to reach in and pull the cut net wrap out.

Q: Is the bottom portion against the ground covered as well, or just around the sides?

The bottom is covered as well as the sides.
