So Amazing what you can learn
I was very surprised to find out that the literal meanings of words in Gaelic and what you want to say/express on your body in a Tattoo is very different that what you would expect. The way things are put together in English isn't how they would be put together in Gaelic and therefore the ink is not in the context that you would expect. I really appreciate this book because my Gaelic Tattoo will now say/express correctly what I want inked.

Very helpful
Very informative on choosing written language tattoos and appropriately spacing and marking of accents. I would recommend reading before grabbing anything off the internet to permanently mark on your body.

Filled with information
Did not necessarily get this because of tattoo purpose, I got it because I am trying to learn Gaelic and this book is great. If you are wanting to learn but not wanting a tattoo, this is still a great book. Need to start somewhere, and this is a great start if you want to learn the language.

A good starting point.
I would have like to see more examples of tattoo's, that might be appropriate, but that being said, the correct words are probably more important.

Helpful and ethical
I bought this on impulse for a book I'm writing, but now I'm incredibly glad that I did! The author provides helpful reference in chapter 5, but I enjoyed the first 4 chapters on the importance and difficulties of translation as well! Would highly recommend!

Great book if you are thinking of a Scottish Gaelic tattoo
It's part of a series, you know. Do make a mistake. Get the book you need and use it. You'll know you are getting what you expected. I highly recommend it.

Well worth it............!
I have now read this short book cover to cover, and was very pleased with it. Having wanted to get a 'Gaelic' tattoo for some time, and reading numerous horror stories of 'tattoo fails' I though it would be worth the investigation and education and understand more of the background.Again, well written......... an easy ready, broken out with history, understanding then examples - very easy to understand and enjoyable.

A must for anyone considering that lasting impression.
Amazing little book. I am a learner, and know exactly what is meant of the sentence structure and grammatical differences between English and Gaelic. This is not a language that can be easily translated with the use of the internet. It may help with a word or definition, but not a phrase.
