The Phantom Menace (Star Wars: Episode I)

As a longtime fan of the Star Wars series, having seen all the films since the beginning when the first Star Wars movie came out, I recently discovered they also came out with a graphic novel version. I recently finished reading Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace adapted by Henry Gilroy from an original story by George Lucas.If you have seen the movie the graphic novel follows the same story of how two Jedi knights are sent by the Supreme Chancellor to try and settle a dispute involving a trade agreement on the small planet of Naboo. They realize that there will be no conflict resolution and they wind up fighting their way out. The Jedi Knights wind up protecting Queen Amidala and fly away from Naboo. They had trouble with their space ship and had to replace an important part. They travel to Tatooine to get the needed part. This is when they first discover a young boy named Anakin, who is a slave on the planet Tatooine. Star fans know what happens when Anakin grows up, but that is the next story I believe.The story moves along at a fast pace and if you are a Star Wars fan you should check out this action packed graphic novel.Rating: 5 Stars.
