Deep Purple, Like a fine wine, just gets better with age.

Following on from the bands line up on the previous album Infinite this is a really mature and reflective sounding Deep Purple. I find Steve Morse's guitar playing and Don Airey's keyboards give the band sound a big oomph!I have played this three times now and absolutely love it. No doubt some 'die-hard' old school Purple fans will berate it but for me its one of the most mature rock albums released for ages. Ian Gillans voice also seems to have returned to its very best. This is a real band album and I hope there's many more to come. If you can stretch to the Deluxe Box set its a treasure chest of bonus stuff. Love it.

Excellent album - no doubt, the diehards will say "Well, of course it is" - which is not a given. I sat down for a whole afternoon's listening and enjoyed every track. Even the keyboard solos. I bought the boxed set so can honestly say that as far as Deep Purple is concerned I've got the Tee-shirt. Good recordings, quiet surfaces and surprisingly fresh-sounding ideas throughout. Name another band who includes a piece by Henry Mancini in their set-list. Bet you can't.

There are couple of good songs, album's overall rating is OK. Three coloured 10" Vinyls from the Infinite Live recordings are much better and contains good old staff. XL t-shirt is really large.
