A must read for everyone interested in the classic era of men's bodybuilding
For some reason, I felt Bob Paris would be one of the few pro bodybuilders to write a truly truthful book. This book is interesting and written very well: Bob has serious writing skills. The mark of a great book for me, is if I will take the time to re-read a book in the future. I definetly will re-read this book. This book is an enjoyable read, written in brief sections that allow one to read a few minutes and come back to it later. Although in the beginning the story of his family and non bodybuilding life read a little slow, hang in there, the story picks up steam so don't jump past the early life sections to get right to the pro bodybuilding areas. It all ties together nicely. And Bob's is a very interesting story. Thanks Bob for being truthful and giving those of us from your era who followed the pros, had a deep down desire to look like the classic pros, and always wondered what life was like for the pros. Highly recommeneded!
