Brilliant story
Why haven't I heard of Anika Hope before? this book had me gripped from the very first page, never have I read such a heart rendering, graphic description of a death , a death that will haunt Beau Greystone for the rest of his life, a death for which there will be no absolution, the death of his gentle wife Marie, a death that was meant for him.Beau Greystone, ex military, ex DEA had returned to his home in sleepy Superior County to take up the post of sheriff after much persuasion from his aunt, he was expecting an easy life but that was never going to happen, how was he going to arrest a doddery seventy three year old ex Viet vet for a bank robbery ? the bank owner wanted his pound of flesh. To add to his problems, a serial killer had once again reared its ugly head, a killer who left no clues, a killer who left distinctive marks on the young girls who were his victims, life couldn't get any worse……..that is until he went head to head with Wynn.Wynn Owen ran a boarding house, her residents were an odd mixture of elderly people but Wynn adored them, they were her family and she would do anything to protect them including going hell for leather with the grumpy, morose, ill tempered sheriff. Wynn's life had been tough until her aunt took her and her, young sister Jenna, in after the death of her drug addled, alcoholic mother's death. There was an instant spark between Wynn and Beau which neither of them wanted to acknowledge, people didn't usually stand up to Beau but feisty Wynn gave him both barrels, she had a deep rooted hatred of authority and the bank robber was one of her cherished tenants, he had to have a reason, but what ?This book covers Wynn's attempt to make a go of her organic farm, her deep mistrust of the sheriff, Beau's self loathing of his past and his broken body, the corruption of people in high places, the realization that Wynn and Beau needed one another and the spark igniting.I loved all these characters, I loved the banter, sometimes cruel, sometimes constructive and sometimes very witty, I loved Beau's determination to find the killer and I loved Wynn's strong character with a very caring side.I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary

Gripping story
Loved the characters of Wynn and Beau who clash from the outset. Beau is the new Sheriff with a tragic past he constantly punishes himself for and he feels a duty to protect. Wynn has been betrayed those who should have protected her so she is fiercely independent and a champion of those she cares for. Their clashes are epic in this fast paced action packed book full of great characters, both old and young, corruption, a serial killer, the reality of poverty but also humour, love and romance.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Really Brilliant Read
This is a romantic thriller and it is Beau and Wynn's story. When hasn't had a easy life but she is loyal, feisty, strong and will not suffer fools gladly and she will also protect those that are close to her regardless of the situation. Beau is ex military, DEA and has become the town sheriff which is a job that he didn't really want and he is also carrying a lot of baggage, guilt and hurt from when his wife was killed because of a job that he was investigating. Wynn and Beau don't get on at all right from the start but when a robbery occurs and then murder things start to become complicated and they will all have to work together to find out who it is and why before it happens again but that doesn't stop there attraction and chemistry infighting between them but now will it all end. I really enjoyed reading this book as the characters and storyline pulled you in and kept your attention throughout and I can't wait to read more book's in the future by this author.I Voluntarily Reviewed a Copy of This Book.

Plot twists, romance, suspense...
Just read the last chapter of this book. I really enjoyed it, completely threw me as to who the murderer was! The whole conclusion of everyone finding out who it was etc, really got me unable to put the book down. The storyline was addictive, trying to guess when or if the 2 main characters were going to get together or not. Definitely enjoyed this one and would recommend it to anyone who likes plot twists, romance and thrillers.

This is a mysterious novel with romance in. His wife in the past murdered and now made Sheriff haunted by his past. Sheriff Beau Greystone. The writing flow in this book is phenomal bringing the characters to life in every word. This is not what you expect in the blur its better. I love how stubborn and determined characters you vouch for them.

Fantastic romantic suspense novel.
Hail Mary is a fantastic romantic thriller by Hope Anika. I had never read any of this author’s work before this book and I’m so glad that I chose to read it as it’s worth more than 5 stars in my humble opinion. The 2 main characters are absolutely brilliant. Wynn has had a rough upbringing and now runs a farm and a rundown boarding house. She’s one feisty woman I’d definitely not want to get on the wrong side of. She takes no prisoners and will fight to the death for those she loves. Beau is the new sheriff in town. A job he didn’t really want but was pushed into by his aunt. Beau is ex-military and DEA and has a lot of baggage from his past. He was badly injured and his wife was killed by someone Beau was investigating while working at the DEA. He’s moody, arrogant and a woman is the last thing on his mind. That is until a bank robbery leads him to Wynn’s boarding house and then a serial killer from the past comes back. So much for an easy job being a sheriff in a small town! The interaction between Wynn and Beau are actually hilarious. She does nothing to hide her distrust for the law and he gives back as good as he gets. What is fantastic about this book is the plot. The suspense and intrigue grabs you and does not let you go. At times you hold your breath and have to remind yourself to breathe again. Just when you start to think you might have it sussed out, the story twists and you find it going in a different direction. I have to say that I would never have sussed out who was the killer. You really have to give this book a try. It will not disappoint.
