A Very Instructive Tactics Primer
The book's title says it all. Twenty six tactical themes are explored in detail with every move explained. The tactics are organized by theme, each with its own chapter. At the end of the book 400 tactical puzzles of increasing complexity are provided, with solutions. This very instructive book is accessible to all player levels. I highly recommend it.

NICE
Just started working on the book. The exercises start easy albeit some of the easy ones are a challenge. Suggest using the most outrageous move to discover the line of attack presented in these exercises. I recommend this book.

Excellent way to improve middlegame tactics
I'm trying to improve my middlegame tactics, and this is an excellent book. I love how it is organized around tactics in alphabetical order like Attraction or Back-Rank Mate. This helps you practice a tactic until it becomes ingrained in your memory with well-annotated games. I've found myself employing these techniques in actual games as well. The length in terms of number of examples of each tactic is satisfactory because there are just enough to learn the tactic but not too many to feel repetitive.
