For anyone interested in detailed archaeology and the history of the role of the cat in ancient Egypt, with mummification practices, this is an excellent book.

An excellent little guide to the Gayer Anderson cat which for a short time is on display at our local museum in Shetland . It gives plenty of details of the cat itself and of Gayer Anderson and how the cat became part of the British Museum artifacts.

This small volume is a must for anyone one who is a fan of the beautiful Gayer-Anderson cat. The photographs are excellent and the text by Neal Spencer tells you all that you need to know about the restoration and history of this exceptional cat in the best British Museum way.
