Perfect Replacement
Replaced a broken ~8 year old model of this, no issues, easy install, but agreed with other reviews that note that the pitch of the noise it makes is slightly higher than older models. Not a big deal. As long as you can figure out how to get the pipes de-attached, replacement is an easy DIY project.

Pump working great
I bought this to replace my 15-year-old old pump from when I originally bought my house brand new. After my heating and air air-conditioning people came out and ran a tuneup on my unit. I noticed my old ones started leaking after they cleaned it. I knew if I called them they wouldโve probably charged me three $400 so I decided I was going to be brave and do it myself. I read the reviews on this and decided it looked like a perfect fit. I didnโt even need help from Mr. I was able to completely swap them out myself. The pump is working great no leaking would highly recommend.

Very Pleased!
Our AC unit is not near an easy outside wall and the 20+ year old drain (with many 90ยบ angles) through our cement slab had clogged. We had a cumbersome bucket system that had to be emptied 2+ times a day to temporarily help, but were going on vacation in a week. A quick search alerted me to the fact that this solution was out there, and the reviews here convinced me to give it a try. I am *so* glad I did. This is a great device! Pros: 1) VERY quiet. I was afraid that we'd hear a leaf-blower-loud motor noise every time the AC went on. Not even close. Unless you are standing next to it, you wouldn't even know it was pumping. Plus, it goes on for less than 10 seconds at a time. I would venture to guess that you wouldn't even notice it if it were inside your living space (ours is in the garage). The only sound on ours is the trickle of water into the pipe where the washer drains - and you have to be standing right next to the drain to hear that. 2) VERY easy to set up. The hardest part for us was finding an outlet near the AC. The wiring for the alarm/shutoff might be a challenge for some, but it's not required for use. 3) Small profile. Takes up less space than the buckets we had for our temporary solution. Cons: 1) I'm wondering about durability, as a lot of the components are plastic. Too early to tell. 2) It says you're supposed to clean it out every time you change AC filters. The reservoir is pretty small and the placement of the unit is fairly precise, so it could be tedious to do that. I'm hoping that adding a small amount of bleach occasionally will keep the slime out of it. It doesn't come with the tubing required, but this isn't really a con because your tubing needs may vary. I used this: Watts SVIG20 Pre-Cut 1/2-Inch Diameter by 3/8-Inch Clear Vinyl Tubing, 20-Foot Length If you're not familiar with how your AC works, plumbing and/or low voltage electrical I'd recommend having a pro install it, but I can't give this little pump enough praise. UPDATE: July, 2013: Two years later & not a hitch. Still works as when I installed it. Go for it!

Powerful and reliable
Powerful pump, easy install, a bit on the noisy side so 4 stars. I can hear it inside when it runs. The old one this replaced was quieter. Been in service 6 months, no issues.

Great pump. Easy to replace.
This works perfect and saved me a lot of money from buying it from a plumber. Easy to install too. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

12 YEARS without a hiccup. Then, the housig disintegrated and leaked.
2024 UPDATE (Original review: January 12, 2012). 2018 UPDATE: STILL WORKING; STILL QUIET; STILL NO PROBLEMS. (Nov, 2018) Just purchased and installed, so no long-term evaluation here, only first (and superficial) impressions. Most superficially: the color may not be all black; ours had a white top half. We replaced our HVAC contractor installed Beckett CB151UL furnace condensate pump after only 4 years of service (plastic housing cracked and leaked). The new Little Giant model slid into place without any modifications to the tubing (furnace and humidifier in & 7ft riser out) and worked from the start and is quieter (and a bit cheaper) than the Beckett. The motor is not even noticeable over the sound of the water flow. The Little Giant comes wired for an overflow safety feature, which may require an electrician (and some extra parts) to set up since the user manual is not written for the novice and no parts are supplied with the unit. Our old Beckett had no such safety options so I left the wires unconnected until the next regular service call when I will decide about hooking up the overflow system (choice of furnace shutdown or an audible warning alarm). I placed the pump inside the plastic pan (about 12x9x6 inches) I had used with the old Beckett and probably will keep this little bit of redundancy even if I decide to go with an electrical safety option. SO FAR, SO GOOD.

Fast delivery and Good quality
This pump will replace the identical unit that I use for our air conditioner. It is reliable and works well. Delivery was quick. Turns out my assumption that the old unit was broken was incorrect. I hadn't cleaned it after 9 years of use and it was loaded with sludge preventing the float from working properly. A good cleaning brought it back to life so the old unit is still in service. I decided the new unit will serve as backup in the event the old pump fails.

Perfect Pump
Perfect replacement pump after my previous one (same model) started to make hellish death rattle noises (ten years old). Arrived quickly. Good price. No complaints and it's been running for over a year now.

Reliable and quiet
This is my first experience using a condensate pump and I was concerned about the reliability as it is in a spot that would cause damage if it failed. I am very confident in the reliability now and have no concerns about failure. It is also amazingly quiet.

Extremely satisfied!
This condensate pump was exactly what it was recommended to be, a quiet, efficient pump. Prior to this pump I bought one at a big box store that I could hear throughout the entire house whenever it came on and it failed completely in under two years. I didn't want to buy another knowing the racquet it kicks up but it was the only brand sold in my area... A little internet research revealed the Little Giant as the most recommended brand. I know this one works because I don't have a flood in the basement but I wish it had a light so that at least I would have some shallow comfort that it was on! I only gave a 4 star rating because I only just installed it last month and I wish it had better 'layman' instructions for the wiring.
