Get Ready for School: Pre-K Hardcover – May 31, 2016

All of the 4 star + reviews are dead on! This book is wonderful and I'm happy to have added it to my resources for teaching my two year old. I truly believe it could be used alone for learning the basics in preparation for pre-school, but when paired with hands-on activities, learning themes, and other media it's a wonderful addition.I'm using it with my two year old. She's pretty far along on the learning curve, but still needs my assistance. She's enthusiastic about the activities in the book. I keep it out of reach only for when I'm working with her otherwise she'd be grabbing it.The illustrations and text are inviting and easy on the eye. The print is large. The context covers so much. I'm glad I came upon it. Would recommend to any parent who is working with their child on fundamentals to learn before entering pre-k or K.My only far-fetched wish is a laminated version - although I could tear pages out and laminate myself....

Love. Love. Love this. My 4 year old also enjoys it. Though it teaches how to write the letters, there are also matching games and puzzles which stimulate the brain but also is a lot of fun and diverse. One thing I did was I ripped out the pages and took them to be laminated, making them dry erase! I punched holes in the edges and keep them in a 3-ring binder. Now, it's not just a one-time investment, my daughter can go over them again and again with dry erase markers. She loves them and asks to do them as an activity. I highly recommend this book. I think the quality of the instruction is great and varied and covers so many subjects. I have been looking for something like this for a long time and am so happy to have found it.

Este libro está muy completo y fácil de trabajar con el, bueno yo se lo compré a mi hija, ella ya salió de preescolar pero con esto del covid-19 perdieron mucho clases y no quiero que se le vaya olvidar lo que aprendió así que siento que este libro le va ayudar mucho, el material es muy bueno Y muy duro para que no se rompa fácil y lo que más me gusta es que es de espiral para que mi hija pueda dar vuelta a las páginas fácilmente

I have been purchasing pre-K workbooks for grandchildren for a few years and this is my favorite. There are separate sections for different subjects. Subject matter is introduced simply and the book adds new concepts and degrees of difficulty in an orderly fashion. I like that the book is a binder so pages can be removed for ease of use by the children. They can then take the completed pages home.Unlike some books, the information on both sides of the page are related. I will be purchasing this again when the youngest grandchild is ready.

I bought this book, along with several other types of pre-k workbooks, to use with my four year old during the summer break from preschool. We call it "Mommy School". The book is fabulous and the best of the bunch! It's well-organized and covers a lot of material. And I love the hard-bound spiral book.My only problem is the smell! It came smelling like it had been stored in a musty, moldy log cabin that was used to store dead skunks. I kid you not! I have had the misfortune of smelling both of these odors on seperate occasions. But to have those smells combined in one item is truely monumental! I know the author is surely not to blame for this. What dark dank corner had Amazon been hiding this poor book in? It's been several days since it's arrival and it still hasn't aired out. Guess we will have to have some air fresheners nearby while we do the lessons.

Please, Please, Please, listen to me when I say I have bought MANY preschool books for my 4 year old to work in. This is so far the best one!!!!!!! The second best one I bought was Mead Preschool workbook. However, this book has LOTS of opportunities to practice writing and tracing letters and numbers and it integrates colors into the various lessons. It also reviews seasons, directions, etc...THIS CURICULUM HAS EVERY LESSON YOUR CHILD NEEDS TO BECOME PREPARED FOR AND MASTER PRESCHOOL! I buy many curriculum books so my daughter is always reviewing so I allowed her to write in this book, however if you want to give your child continued repetition and not have to buy anymore curriculum books I suggest making copies OR BUY TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM GOING TO PURCHASE GET READAY OF KINDERGARTEN next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a perfect addition to our pre-k center in our home. It comes in a sturdy binder and the pages do rip out if you want to save your child's work. All of the assignments were easy to explain and come with fun shapes, animals and other illustrations to keep the child's attention. I highly recommend this book if you are preparing your child to enter school.

I saw this in Barnes & Noble but found it on Amazon cheaper. I have 2.5 yr old twin boys and a lot of these pages they can work on already. They've known their letters by sight and sound for about a year now and anything to do with the letters they can do with ease. There is a lot of tracing that they can just get into now such as tracing straight lines, curvy lines etc. There are some activities that they won't be able to do for maybe a year down the road that utilize critical thinking. It's a great book that I think can be used starting around 2 with pages for older preschool kids.
