Must Read - Right from the desk of the man who installed SONY CORPORATION, JAPAN
I read this book, based on a gift from one of my senior colleague. The author has narrated an amazing biography, which has been well narrated by the co-author.The story starts from the pre world war II period in Japan, when a mother of this sharp kid (Mr. Akio Morita), rears up them to take the challenges, which Japan was facing in contemporary war based climate. From there, how these brothers come out successful and in the post atomic bombing Japan, how electronics started picking up.The story goes on to show, how Mr. Akio Morita, established Sony corporation, step by step journey, not from the business perspective, but by the view of a common man and how he faces the challenges of life and advance.A must read:Some highlights of the book:a) How even at a older age, husband and wife, started learning new things in their lives, which always kept them engagedb) How involvement of wife in the life of Mr. Morita, had helped him to establish Sonyc) Mr. Morita's overseas experience is a wonderful business guideline for most strategist, salesman,....d) The vision of Mr. Morita on cars of 2000 AD, was a wonderful prediction, which he made way back in 80s and which is true todayThe book and narration, brings contemporary Japan of 40s to 80s in front of your eyes and builds a lot of business acumen in your approach.
