Batsford's Modern Chess Openings

Nice edition. But could be a hard copy rather than a kindle edition

This is the most definitive treatment of Chess openings I've ever seen and a must for the serious chess player. An essential reference work and good value for money.

I almost use the Amazon for purchased books, but when I meet this wonderful library I have to say it's unique. They have almost every book in the world, they packaged the book very well. And they give a gift a book marker lovely I have to say good buy Amazon hello bookdepository love you guys

This is a great chess book, with all of the main lines, and even some of the new modern chess lines as well. With a detailed description of each opening, and then the continuations leading from it.My one criticism will be that as it was copywritten in 2009, there will be some of the most ultra modern openings that Aren't covered by this book. So for example my favourite openings, the Danish, and the centre counter (Scandinavian defence), are both mentioned, but only briefly. Compared to the other main lines (the Sicilian or the King's Gambit for example), and if my one reservation, it's that Firmian didn't spend more time on these choice cuts of mine. But I guess he had to choose what to include, and exclude, and he couldn't fit everything in. But basically an all round good chess repertoire. Good to dip into, from time to time.
