I originally picked up GTAV for PS3 on launch day and although that version was a fun and amazing experience, it was limited by PlayStation 3's hardware capabilities. Despite this, Rockstar managed to give us an excellent game and some excellent DLC content for two strong years. In July of 2015, GTAV for PS3 finally reached the end of the road as the DLC pack "Ill gotten gains: Part 2" was the final DLC to be made available for last gen systems and if players wanted any more new DLC, they would need to switch to next gen systems like PS4/Xbox1. Like most people, I didn't like the idea of essentially being forced to switch if I wanted to continue to enjoy the new DLCs for this game but I knew it had to be done as last gen systems are now obsolete and can't keep up hardware-wise. If you've played the last gen version and is undecided on whether or not you should upgrade to the next gen version, there are a few things to keep in mind: First, there is much more content on the next gen version. More missions, more weapons, more features, etc. In-game radio stations have more licensed music, there are more vehicles available and the game even has a full first-person mode. Secondly, Rockstar continues to add new DLC to the next gen version. With last gen consoles, support from Rockstar is LITERALLY non-existent now for GTAO. There's no more DLC and online public lobbies have more and more modders running wild. Next gen lobbies are still pretty safe. Thirdly, this game supports Remote Play so if you own a PS Vita, you can now play GTAV on it (amazing, right?). Finally, if you invested a lot of time and effort into your GTAO's character(s) on last gen, you will be happy to know that you can cross-platform transfer your characters, progress and money to the next gen version and continue where you left off. (EDIT: As of March 6, 2017, PS3 owners can no longer transfer their save data to PS4.) A minor downside to this game is that you must pay to play online whereas last gen GTAO was and still is completely free to play. This normally shouldn't be a problem considering most next gen owners usually have income to spend but if you're on a fixed budget or prefer not to pay for PSN+ services, then you're out of luck with playing online with this game. Overall, if you own a next-gen system and enjoyed GTAO of previous gen, you should consider upgrading to this game if you haven't done so yet. The extra content, missions, feaures and DLC makes this game well worth the price.

I found myself feeling delighted while playing this game more often than with any other game. It never takes itself seriously, and while the story is that of a pretty typical high budget American action movie, complete with improbable and irrational plot points, it's a ton of fun. The game allows you at least two ways to go about most missions, which means you can go through it twice and still find new content. The game looks beautiful, with amazing rendering and southern California vibe. The map is absolutely huge and a joy to explore. But, there are things I hate, like the optional scavenger hunts for stupid stuff, which can take a lot of time and effort but give little satisfaction and little reward.

What can I say, I love GTA V, I have it on PS4 and PC. I prefer the 60FPS of PC but I like the practicality of a console controller so the trade off is a 30FPS game. I believe it can run 60FPS if it deletes a lot of the updates but all in all, a great game but if you buy it now, it will show it's age fast. I recommend for story mode, PC and for Online, PS4 since it is more secure than GTA Online PC.

Wrote this review a while back, but never got around to posting it on here. An okay game. The biggest flaw is probably the online community. There are 2 types of players online: The level 1000 players who literally never stop playing the game that drive around in tanks destroying your vehicles and killing you whenever you spawn outside in free-roam, and the kids who are too young to be playing this game, and have their cheap $10 gaming microphones cranked while they scream at everyone or blast crappy dubstep or rap through their microphones, begging to be muted and blocked. If you played Call of Duty back in it's prime and remember all the kids that played those games and what they were like, you should know what to expect for the multiplayer in GTA V There are a lot of pointless game modes as well that make the game look more complete than it really is. Other than death-match and races, the rest of the game modes are pretty stupid or just don't belong in this type of game. The graphics are below average. Don't believe anyone that says this game looks amazing. If you want a graphically stunning game, this is far from it. The graphics aren't bad, but most recent games have way better graphics than this game. gameplay 7.5/10 graphics 6.5/10 multiplayer 7/10 story 7.5/10 overall rating 8/10

This is GTA 5, what more can i say that millions havent already said themselves, if you really need to read reviews about this game, then you dont really deserve to be playing games period, honestly, take your console and give it to someone else who can appriciate games. It doesnt matter if you have a moral or ethic code about not shooting hookers in the face and then beating their lifeless bodies, everyone and their mother should at least try this game. Its fun for the whole family, try it.
