Crossbar for Transport on Step-Through Style Bikes

Have had this several years and find that I never reviewed it. Bottom line, it works great for a ladies bike to transport on certain car carriers or for kids bikes. Easy to install, very sturdy and does the job I bought it for. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

need this when hauling bike woth no cross bar, needed to hold bike down, expandable and works great, this has to be bought separately when buying a bike rack to haul bikes like a step thru

Worked perfectly to put my cruiser bike on the car rack. Without it was a struggle. If you have a beach cruiser bike it’s worth the money. So easy to use too

I recently purchased this Crossbar so I can transport by electric bike using a bike carrier. I've been very pleased with its performance so far. It made transporting both my step-through bike and electric bike a breeze, which is usually a challenge due to their unique frames. Pros: Easy to Install: The crossbar is quick to set up and adjust. It easily attaches to both my step-through and electric bikes, making it versatile for different types of bikes. Secure Fit: Once in place, the crossbar keeps both bikes stable and securely mounted on the rack. There’s no shifting or wobbling, even during long drives on rough roads. Durable Build: The materials feel strong and solid. It holds up well, and I trust it to handle the weight of my electric bike without any issues. Cons: It did scratch the pain off of my bike so I will need to add some foam pad around the hook that attaches to the bike. The crossbar has also started to show signs of rusting but is still useable. Conclusion: This crossbar is an excellent solution for transporting step-through bikes and electric bikes. It’s secure, easy to install, and built to last. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a reliable crossbar for bike transport.

Worked perfectly on a 2500 mile winter vacation

Perfect accessory to carry a bike on a bike rack. Was stable and sturdy. Easy to install and easy to remove. No issues with capacity. Carried a 25lb bike with no issues.

My expensive e-bike suddenly quit working and had to be taken back to the dealer. Getting it into the old style bike rack on the truck hitch was a nightmare. Had to put it on upside down, couldn't stabilize the front wheel, and ended up scratching the frame. Ordered this top tube adapter and it came in time to go pick up the repaired bike. What a difference! Installed in moments and made it so much easier to load and transport the bike. I don't understand why the one end isn't covered in vinyl, the pin and yoke could scratch the handlebars. But I simply wrapped some cushioning around the handlebar stem area before putting the adapter on and that protected it. I am a little concerned about the longevity of the spring inside the tube; if it wears out quickly I'll come back and update the review. My e-bike weight almost 50 pounds and I've read some reviews that the tube adapter couldn't handle the weight. This seemed to be heavy duty enough to take the weight, but I took the precaution of running a strap through the frame of the bike and up over the top of the rack. This not only meant the adapter didn't have to support the full weight of the bike, but also that if the seat tube or the handlebar stem wasn't tight enough and loosened while traveling, the bike would remain in place and not fall to the road. With that simple precaution in place it was a care free trip to get the bike back home.

The bar work perfectly, used it on both my wife's bike, including the electrical one. no issues
