They re in charge here on this winning Reunion, which arrives 35 years after their debut album. This is a throwback to FM radio hard rock of the 70s, and it s great. Shapes, with St. Holmes Ian Gillan-like vocals, blends the best of the Yardbirds and Cinderella, an unusual combination to be sure. Whitford s guitar solos are splendid, taking care of business on the Bachman-Turner Overdrive/Bad Company-like Hot for You and the Van Halen-aping Rock All Day.
