Put this shelf up in garden cabin to hold glasses and looks very smart. Decent chunky oak shelf and you can tell its quality. Was expensive for what it is but you get what you pay for. The screws seemed very long and luckily I checked because even though walls are 2 inches think it would have gone right through. I used slightly shorter screws and its perfectly stable

I absolutely love my shelves they are very strong and sturdy and I can put a lot of weight on them with in reason.Just ordered another to extend.

Well made chunky shelves.Tad expensive but you do get what you pay for. Extremely well packaged in heavy duty carton and free delivery with Prime is a bonus too.Chunky rustic finish timber with Industrial finish mild steel flat bar 3/16 x 2 inch sturdy shaped brackets.We wanted a couple of "Gin Shelves' that hopefully will still look OK and serve another purpose once the Gin craze is over. Hopefully these units will not date for several years to come.Supplied fixings not really suitable for the dot and dab walls at my property however no manufacturer could be expected to supply fixings for every wall type.In keeping with the industrial look I opted for long reach M8 Rawl bolts to fix as can be seen in photo.Alternatively for fixing to dot & dab walls I'd also recommend Corefix Heavy Duty For and Dab Wall Fittings

Thick cut pine stained a lovely oak colour that has rounded softened edges and an industrial cast iron style support strut. Looks great and feels like good quality. Not very heavy (50cm length 5cm thick) so can go on plaster walls but I recommend putting at least one strut into a stud. A little expensive at nearly £100 for 2 but there is noticible workmanship on the wood that I feel makes the price worth it. For example, the sanding and finishing is top notch and small details like rounded edges and distressed iron highlights the hand made nature of these lovely shelves.

Saved me a lot of hassle after trying to source brackets and suitable timber separately.They were easy to put up and despite spending a little more than I had budgeted for, these shelves have completed my budget upcycled kitchen vision perfectly.They are definitely worth it and I'm thrilled to bits with them.I could have chosen deeper shelves, but didn't want the kitchen feeling like it's closing in, so I added a rail underneath for cup hooks etc.So thankyou Ben Simpson for a fabulous product and great service from ordering, to delivery and a great product.

We purchased two of these shelves as we admired the ethics of the company. The shelves are really sturdy, well made and look brilliant in situ. Our disappointment arose on installation as the rawlplugs/screws supplied are not suitable for plasterboard - be aware of this and make sure you have some suitable ones to hand. Once we had found the most suitable in the DIY box then it was on with the job and the drill bit enclosed is really good.

The quality of the product was superb, instructions clear and will definitely shop here again!
