Bought this with the goal of making it fit in our Bayliner as the original design is only for a 1-step. The ladder is of good quality steel and the slide/folding mechanism works well so far. I did some modification on my swim platform, cut something underneath, so this ladder can fit flat. Got some metal plates from local depot and used stainless bolts with flare nuts to mount it. Put a rubber mat on top of the platform so as to "cover" the plates and bolt/nuts and prevent unnecessary incident of toes/feet getting hurt. Thought I'd share this and the pics so other boaters might pick up some ideas and enjoy this product. Thanks to this, getting back to the boat from the water is easier now.

I can not wait to install the item on my boat. strong build on the mounting and long enough to climb out of the water. Its just the item I wanted for the boat. I will write another review next year for quality and toughness.

Installed April of 2015. Very nice stepp ladder - had to get hardware to install on swim platform. Works perfect. Strap to hold ladder in place seems cheap but is still working and boat stays in water all season

Bought this ladder for installation on my inboard ski boat’s swim platform. I like that it installs from underneath, and does not obstruct the platform. Some ingenuity was required to install, as extra wood needed to be installed to the bottom of the platform to create a level mounting area.The ladder works as advertised. Not quite as easy to pull out as might like, but not too hard, either—just need to pull it straight out. There is a small elastic bungee on it that needs to be looped over the ladder when stowed to keep it from extending itself when running—some kind of mechanical locking system would be better. I’ve added a nylon locking strap for extra security when needed. Note that I did run for a while with the ladder extended, it sent up a lot of spray but did not get damaged at all.
