Rory Gallagher

Bought as a gift for a family member. They seemed quite happy with it.

Love the effort that has gone into this. One of the great things is that the involvement Rory's family have in maintaining his legacy is that the releases are of a top quality. It's hard to believe this is now 50 years old. Rory's talent is clear in each song. And the production in this particular release makes it sound fresh. I saw an article bemoaning that lots of people are heading to older music rather than new. Given the modern good stuff is hard to find under commercial dross, that's a bit Cecil B DeMille, to use one of Rory's oft used lines on the flashy side of the music industry, no wonder people are heading to Rory in droves. And this is the icing on the cake, showing what he was capable of.

I already had an early edition of this on vinyl, but really wanted this for the demos and live recordings! I’m glad I bought it! The remastered edition sounds fantastic and has been done very well! The live recordings and early takes are also a pleasure to listen too! The booklet, artwork and case are done to a very high standard! It is a quality box set and worth every penny!! Would highly recommend!

This review is for the vinyl which has less songs and no DVD which is fine by me as I have the majority of this stuff on bootlegs, SHOCK! HORROR!, The original Lp has been remixed and remastered and sounds great and well worth purchasing vinyl or CD . Extras are good and well worth a listen especially the BBC sessions.Now bring on the 50th anniversary of Deuce please.

Amazing special edition. Usually these albums are full of pointless filler,but this is a great edition. Saw rory 6 times and always a great show

A brilliant reissue of Rory's debut solo album. Can't find any fault with either the vinyl dics or the packaging, which is of an extremely high quality. Overall I'm very impressed with this boxset and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
