The Coast-to-Coast Murders: A killer is on the road…

an okay read
This a complex murder investigation of a serial killer operating from coast to coast where cops Garett and Jessica had to catch him ASAP.This was a shocking complex tale going well into the rigors of the past of the characters where the cops had to use all their intelligence to get to the root of the motive. The book was long and filled with action. Many suspects and red herrings, I went down a few false trails with my own theories.Overall, it took me time to finish, but it was quite fun with the twists in the end.

What on earth did I just read?
When I finished this book, I had to reread the final chapters as I wasn't sure what had actually happened, who was dead, or who did the killing. Or even how many people were involved. I still don't. Very convoluted all the way through, a lot of rereading involved, and a really inconclusive rubbish ending that I still don't get. Very disappointed with this from James Patterson, and partner. Will avoid this collaboration in future.

Outstanding from the start. The best book that I've read in a long, long time.
I've always liked the way JP writes his books - concise storylines and short chapters etc. However some of his series became very repetitive and I didn't bother to continue with them. Now I only read the stand alone novels written in conjunction with unknown writers. Quite often you can differentiate between any input from JP and the newbie and some of them are very good but this offering in conjunction with J.D.Barker surpasses them all.I was gripped from the start. The very original plot is intricately woven with characters that standout. Just when I thought I'd got to grips with the who and why, along comes a twist that threw me, and the twists just kept on coming. The ending is worthy of Jeffrey Deaver at his best!!I couldn't detect any input from JP in the plot and assume that it is purely the wonderful imagination of J.D.Barker. Surely he is a talent to watch out for and I hope he goes on to write without any patronage and gets the praise solely on his own.I would have awarded 10 stars if possible. An absolute must read.

Tormented
Patterson can write rubbish, i know,I've read some! This however is on a different level. Trying to follow a plot is almost impossible, it twists and turns constantly. Even at the very end you still cannot be 100% certain that you know what has happened, or what is happening at that point ?

The amazing writer James Paterson
This novel was brilliant from start to finish, you think you worked it out but even then by the last page you want more and this novel is the biggest novel James Paterson has written1I hope he writes another novel with Agent Gimble and Detective Dobbs as I think they could come back to this story as believe there is more to be said!

Disappointing
I'm a great James Petterson fan but this is the first time I have gladly put this book down. Convoluted and boring. Usually I will finish his books in two or three days. Still half way through not sure I'll bother finishing it.
