Tasty! (or so my cat says)
I was worried that when Buttons the Cat developed a food allergy that he would choose to die of starvation before touching something labeled "hypoallergenic" and "hydrolyzed." It does not sound appetizing. What a happy surprise it was when he scarfed down the first bowl. Two months later, he actually prefers it to the (even higher-priced) canned venison and potato! My other cat actually loves it too, so I sometimes mix it with his normal cat food just to 'prime the pump' to encourage him to eat. Overall, I am very very happy that something that saved Buttons' life brings him enjoyment during mealtime.

Worth the Investment to Improve My Cat's Health ^..^
This specialty food is expensive, even for prescription pet food, but well worth the investment. It has proven to be like a wonder-drug for my senior Siamese; if you have a feline with allergy & digestive issues, you should really consider this diet BEFORE those issues become chronic.

It worked!
My sister died and left me two cats with a number of special needs. (She knew I would take care of them, I am a total cat lover.) Raindrop (female) was not fixed yet and developed rashes so bad that we could not get her fixed. This food, plus some topical medicine, finally worked after 1 1/2 years of trying that included trying at least 7 varieties of special food and other topical medicine. PS: Raindrop gets fixed tomorrow!

Great dry food
Our little kitty had digesting issues but with this dry food, she stopped throwing up her food. Also she's little picky but loves it.

Wrong product shipped
Excellent product. Warning: I’ve had amazon ship the wrong product 2x. I’ve gotten a bag that looks identical but doesn’t have “hypoallergenic” across the top. Both products exist, but my cat specifically needs the hypoallergenic type or she vomits. Little snowflake. Figuring out how to return cat food... just make sure to take a look at the bag before opening. Even if your cat can handle the hydrolyzed protein non-hypoallergenic, you would then be overpaying, the regular type should be at least twenty bucks cheaper.

Really good for my cat.
I took my cat Eloise to UC Davis. My cat has a food allergy to proteins. This food breaks down the proteins (hydrolized) where her body excepts them better. Still not perfect but manageable. She also loves the food. She has been on this diet for almost 5 years. Her stools are still soft but no more accidents where she can’t get to the litter box; no more explosive diarrhea. I hope my comments help other cat owners. It is helping her and she likes it. The catfood is worth it.But... buy the food. Not the treats at the price of food. My vet gave me her prescription which makes it easier to obtain.

cat has food alergy
my cat has a food alergy... his skin is very sensitive, and he looses his hair. the vet bill for him has been approximately $1000. steroids did clear his condition, and tried many differant foods: was almost ready to give up, then tried the royal canin hydrolyzed protein.. very good results. he likes it. the most lovely cat now. thankful for this cat food. love this cat
