Perfect! My daughter typically wears an 8 but I ordered a small after reading the reviews and I'm glad I did. It fits her very well and allows room for warm clothes underneath. The apron straps are oddly very long but we pinned them across the back and they were fine. Adorable costume.

My daughter is a very tall 7 year old and finding a costume to fit her is nearly impossible! All the children's costumes are too small (or very expensive). All the adult costumes are inappropriate. (Which I find extremely annoying, not *everyone* wants to be 'sexy'-but that's another post). This was perfect. We were going to the "Rock you Disneyside" 24 hour party and we both could wear costumes. She had grown out of all hers and I had found the perfect one for me. So, when I found this, I was very excited for her. I purchased it and got it two hours before we left (phew!!!). We tried it on there and it fit perfect. My only suggestion is that they need another velcro on it because it gapes. Luckily, a kind guest in line had a safety pin and we were good to go! More than once, kids yelled "Alice" and pointed to her at Disneyland, which made her day! (We, of course, were very clear that we were not Disney cast members). Disney Cast members all called her Alice all day long. When we met the "real" Alice at one point at Disney, I was impressed at how alike they looked and realized why people thought my daughter was Alice.
