WÜSTHOF 17-Slot Beechwood Knife Storage Block

Missing was a hole or slot for kitchen scissors!

This knife block is compact and practical. It has a smaller footprint on the counter compared to our previous block. The slots are angled well for this to sit on a counter under upper cabinets. The wood is black, and the wood grain shows through. I think it has an attractive look. You can tell it is real wood and not a coating. The only slight issue for us is that the handles on our steak knives are too thick to put all 6 in the block, so we just have 4 in the block.

We moved from a large house, large kitchen, ample storage, to small condo, galley kitchen, limited storage. Needed a way to store our collection of good knives so they would be protected, easy to access and wouldn't occupy too much valuable counterspace. I was skeptical a standard-size block could actually accommodate 9 knives, 6 steak knives, a carving fork, and sharpening steel. I expected to have difficulty getting the knives in and out of the cramped space. Surprise! It works perfectly and looks great. We put the carving fork in the slot intended for the kitchen shears. Highly recommended.

I have Cutco knives. The Cutco block was too expensive so I chose this one. They fit ok but not well, the handles are thick so the handles bunch up the knives being able to fully get into the slot.

Knife box is very attractive on my counter and is study. Slots work very nice for the knives I use on a regular basis.

Purchased because I needed a larger block because I received a few new knives as gifts. Product is sturdy, made well and looks handsome on my counter.

I purchased this for my husband. When I first moved in with him, I threw out his Wusthof block and used mine. Not realizing that his knives were AMAZING compared to my crappy college knifes. So, I’m putting my foot in my mouth and apologized for throwing it out. It’s great quality!

Beautiful new block. Tall enough that 10" slicer does not poke through. Assortment of size slots worked perfect for me. I did not realize how worn my 20-year old block was until I replaced it with this beautiful new block!

I'm absolutely delighted with the magnetic knife block, but as I write this there is clearly a problem with the product database as it is showing a non-magnetic block. However, the dark wood Wusthof block is a lovely piece of kit with powerful magnets. If you can get it.

I was expecting a metal Wusthof label in the front of the block. Instead I received carved in letters. Rest looks as per picture. Heavy item but it's to be expected from a chunky piece of wood.Overall looks good!

This item could have been shipped with some bubble wrap or plastic airbags instead of bouncing around loosely in its box! Otherwise, a beautiful product that actually did arrive in good condition with no scratches or flaws!
