Multi-voltage and multi-current gives you lots of flexibility
I've had this for just over a month, have used it maybe 10 times and overall I'm very happy with it. It feels like its well-built and I have had no problems with it. I really like the display. It shows the actual current being drawn and the voltage at the outlet, so you can see how much it drops when you start charging (then if the size of the drop makes your uncomfortable, you can switch to a lower current). It also shows the total kilowatt-hours for the charging session and the duration of the session. Lastly, it shows the internal temperature and the charging current you selected. There are so many choices EVSE choices, it can be hard to decide which one to buy. Everyone has to find the compromise that will work best for them, and here’s how I came to my decision. You can use this unit on 120V or 240V, and set the current to 8, 12, or 16 amps. It comes with a L6-20 (240V, 20A) plug and two adapter cables, one to a 5-15 plug (120V, 15A, the one I use the most) the other to a 14-50 plug (50A). So you have a lot of options. At home in my garage I have a 120V 15A outlet, which works fine for my 2015 Leaf. I normally charged overnight, 2 to 3 times a week. But I recently discovered a 120V 20A outlet in the parking garage at work. With this EVSE that would allow me to charge about 25% faster (16A vs 12A).If you do the match, the stock 12A EVSE should fully recharge the 24kW battery in about 17 hours (12A x 120V = 1.44kW, 24kWh / 1.44kW = 16.7 hours). At 16 amps that is cut back to 12.5 hours. Then if you have a 240V circuit available at 12A it’s down to 8, and at 16 amps to 6 hours. The lowest we’ve run-down the battery is to about 20%, and I'm happy not charging to 100%. So with this EVSE I've got all the flexibility I need.I considered getting a 30 amp EVSE. But to use it I would have to get a new 40 amp circuit installed. Based on the age of my house and the size of my breaker box I’m confident I could get a 240V 20A line installed fairly cheaply, but I’m not sure about a 40A line. So if got a 30 amp EVSE, I might never use the 30 amp setting. And if I got a 240V 20A line, using this unit I could charge in under 6 hours, which is plenty fast for me.My last consideration was the battery. More specifically, battery degradation due to heat while recharging. As you increase the rate you’re charging, you increase the heat. I’m guessing that heat is mostly only an issue when you’re fast charging, and that there’s not much heat different between 120V at 12A and 240V at 30A. But still, if I don’t NEED to charge at a higher rate I’m happy going slow to maximize the life of the battery. What’s cool is that there are now so many EVSE choices. No matter what your circumstances you should be able to find something that works pretty well for you!FYI. Judging from the display and adapter cables, I think this unit is electrically the same as some Khone, Evolution, and MUSTART EVSEs, and very similar to some from Zencar or Jekayla.

Effective product and superior customer service
The charger works exactly as advertised. I had EVI build me an extra 240 volt adapter that would plug into the socket in the garage for a dryer hookup which has a different plug blade configuration than a typical garage socket. This year, I added solar panels to our other house, and in the course of that project, added a 240 volt standard socket in the garage. The standard EVI adapter that came with the charger set didn't seem to work, and after a lot of communication with our project contractor and EVI, we finally determined that the problem was not the EVI adapter, but rather how the socket was installed by the electrician. Throughout the process of sorting out the problem, EVI communicated with me promptly and was very generous with their help and support.Bottom line: Effective product and superior customer service.Charles R. Great Charger 120v & 240v
Have gone through 2 of the original chargers that come with the car. They only use 120v and are so sensitive to a good ground that I would often come out to find my car not charged at all or with only a couple of miles worth. Love this Charger. Seems to always work on both 120v and 240v. Seems to be a little faster also than the original charger. Haven't had one problem in the few months of everyday use. I have charged in multiple outlets and always end up fully charged.

Not that bad after fixing it myself
Broken after two months of rare usage. After opening the device and resetting the two fuses inside it came back on and was able to charge. It's possible that unplugging it while still charging was the reason. After done with charging, remove the handle from the car first, then unplug from the electrical source.

Does the job well.
Just got this for my 2017 Volt LT. Works well, no longer concerned about a full charge in the morning when I get home late at night. I'm using the 14-50 adapter and am not having any issues, though it's only been a few days and the adapter is ungrounded. Holds its charging rate at 16A, the mac a volt can do. Only real complaint is the cord is shorter than expected and not on the details, though, to be fair, it is listed in the q&a, so I won't take off the star. Overall very pleased

I bought this charger for my 2012 nissan leaf and I love it. I have not had any problems and I charge my vehicle multiple times in one day. The best part is that you can take it with you in the car. You can even charge at a 110v because it gives you the adapter for it as well another 240v adapter besides the nema 240 it comes with. It's a great product and I would recommend this to anyone.

Great EV travel Accessory
This is a great product if you have a plug in vehicle. I had to call the company and found them friendly and helpful. I had misunderstood the amperage toggling. I liked it even better after the call. There are places I stop to charge and have lunch and this multiplies my options with its adapters. Fantastic design!

Only lasted 5 months
I bought it in October, it died in February. And it wasn't abused in any way. It just stopped working. My bad for not getting the warranty.
