Worked well
I had a small lamp where the shade sat so close to the switch to turn on lamp that it was a struggle. I bought this kit to convert my lamp so shad sits higher. Height is adjustable. Is working well.

Well packaged, good set
This is exactly what I've been looking for. Wal-Mart will sell the hairpin piece but with no way to attach it the lamp. So, I turned to Amazon to find what I needed for an old lamp of mine.

Good but
I’m a bit confused as to how you are supposed to get the base on. This is probably my fault but if I had bought this at a brick and mortar store I could have asked, while here I don’t know where to go. So good item but I don’t know how to get help… by design.
