These pads are comparable to other pads that work okay- but at twice the price. I tried them due to reading the advertisement on box that claims this pad is dry to touch after 35 seconds. Nope, that didn't happen. It was wet and stayed wet. Next, there is the claim they absorb 100x their weight, like a baby diaper, and will still stay dry. Nope, they did not stay dry. The pad is thin and very light. 40 pads in box was about 7 lbs shipped weight. Each pad was about 1.5 ounces max weight. 1.5 x 100 = 150 ounces of fluid absorbed? Nahhh. Maybe 1/10 of that without leaking.Smell. Yes, it absorbs urine smell but in its place is almost a gluey type odor.The thing I did like about them is their size, and yet, there are comparable products that have same or bigger size, for half the price.So, would I buy this 40 quantity package again at $39.99? No - maybe if they were .30 or .40 cents a pad but definitely not at almost a dollar a pad. Would I have given 5 star review if there wasnt exaggerated claims of greatness? Maybe a 4...

My twelve year old scotty dog is having kidney failure and gets fluids put under her skin to help wash the toxins that are not processed by the kidneys. She is holding her own; eats, like to take slow walks and since I work during the day she feels relieved that she can pee on the pads and not have to do it somewhere else. When she peed before the pads were used she hated it and felt she would be in trouble. Her ears were always down before I used the pads and now when she goes on the pads she knows she will be praised for that! It has makes her feel good and it makes me feel good for her. Before this I was shampooing the spots constantly, not now. I wish the pads had some kind of adhesive on the them so you could place then securely together so nothing would leak, but these are the best pads I have found. I was getting them at my local pet store and paid $25.00 for 25 pads. Amazon has 40 pads for $34.99 , great savings!

My Aussie was hit by a car and her L7 vertebra was cracked. She can move her legs and wag her tail but she cannot stand or walk due to pain. While we are in wait and see mode, we have had her resting in our eat-in kitchen but one of the challenges has been potty pads. There are a lot on the market and I have purchased many brands at our local store and on Amazon. At 5 weeks in, these are my favorite and now my go-to. They do stay in place better than other brands (better, they're not magic), seem to be more absorbent (in terms of rate of absorption and total volume they can handle) and I love the large size. They do puncture, like they all do, as she scoots herself in circles. With the large size, I overlap them easily to make sure any holes have something under them. I'm using them for a different purpose than others probably will, but they have been helpful to us as we try to get our girl back on her feet.

After trying numerous puppy pads for the last 5 years I have finally found the best! The XL size is perfect for my 2 small dogs. They can be used several times without leaking and there is no urine odor. I would normally go through 3-4 pads of the other brands, but just 1 of Gridlock. Highly recommend!

I have a senior dog that has had a few accidents at the door. Now I set these out. they are great. Good absorbency. Much better than the others I have tried.

Worth every penny! The only puppy pad that urine doesn't run off the side!!!! Tried to buy some less expensive ones also sold on Amazon. Big mistake. Sticking with these permanently.

These are my favorite pee pad so far. The huge size is perfect and it’s super absorbent. I have an older dog that can’t hold it all the time and she uses these like a champ plus these size helps out!!!

The worst paper thin, does not stay put due to lightness. Worst pad ever. Only kept because I needed pad for my puppy.
