Complete Guide
I don't usually write reviews but I feel compelled to write this one since maybe it will help more people find it. This book is the book I had been looking for, for awhile. Despite there not being any books on laser cutting on Amazon that I have found to be worthwhile, this book took me a little time to find, it certainly wasn't one of the first ones listed like it should be. In short if you are a hobbyist, small business owner this isn't a book that just talks about the science behind laser cutters and giving impractical information, even though the first chapter does cover that for people who are interested ( and it is fascinating stuff ), but then the entire rest of the book is nothing but practical information that I struggled to find a comprehensive guide of in any other books, not saying they don't exist but I haven't found them yet (If anybody does know of any others id love to hear it in a reply) but for people like me who didn't know of any other book, this is it, its hard to imagine another book having more practical info then this one has. There is also 60$ DVD that you now have access to for free, I haven't looked at it yet but I think the book alone is worth the price tag. The only improvement I would say to the author or publisher is that the front cover is very unassuming, and since people do judge a book by its cover, at first glance it doesn't seem like a quality book so I could see a lot of people just passing over it, since it also at the moment doesn't have any reviews to authenticate the great info inside, so this is my only amazon review ever and I made it so others could potentially find it easier and have some confidence that buying this 80$ book is worthwhile

I expected more
Since the subtitle for the book is: "The most comprehensive instructional manual ever written for laser engraving." As well as its price point, I expected quality. So far I have found it full of type-o's, and inaccurate and/or outdated information. I can say there is a lot of useful facts, resources, instructions, how-to's and downloads. Those make the book worthwhile, but you will also need to weed through it as you go. Not sure if it is simply technology is moving so quickly that the material is dated or the author has a bias against CO2 lasers engraving with glass type laser tubes? They almost sound like a sales person for a company that sells metal tube systems. A lot of photos are courtesy of Epilog and Trotec. I am 1/4 of the way through it and perhaps it will get better as I go?
