Good safe, I installed it in a concrete wall
I've had no problems getting the safe to open. The lock feels fine to me.Using a 20 pound demolition hammer I punched a hole in the basement wall and scooped out 4 cubic feet of clay. Then I set the safe "box" in the hole with 300 pounds of sackcrete. It wasn't a bad project but I once was enough.I had to remove the gas cylinder which holds the door open in a floor installation. No biggie.Mostly I'm posting a photo of the locking mechanism for those who are interested in these sorts of things.

I installed into a concrete floor. leaving the safes top edge up 1 1\2" just in case there was ever any water in the basement as the safe is not water resistant. dial works fine, smooth spining

Nice product
I had purchased IF-3000C before from Protex and it worked great. The safe is really sturdy and well-made. I was glad to find that they offer smaller size models like IF-2500C.

I was not with how easy it is to drill the sides of this safe.
This safe has a very secure door. If you do not plan to install this in concrete do not purchase. The metal is easily cut and it was drilled like a hot knife through butter. The metal is a basic Steel. It's about one sixteenth of an inch thick. After installing this safe I realized I would have to immerse it in concrete. I do not have a concrete floor to tear out and put it in. So now I have to figure something else out.

UPDATED REVIEW ** Horrible Customer Service!! Phones Don’t Work!
UPDATE: Finally heard back from the company after emailing again yesterday and the day before, and the day before. I think what actually helped is calling Amazon Customer Service again and telling them that the phone number they gave did not work and they weren't answering my emails. Amazon was going to escalate and contact them. Evidently they did because I got the code in my email early this morning. (NOW WAS THAT SO HARD?) hey only included the code and no instructions for operating the combination. After trying the normal way to use a combination lock with no success I went online and googled the TYPE combination referenced (LaGard group II combination lock) and found, yes it has very different instructions to operate. I'v included a picture of the instructions, reading the reviews this may help others. I would have given one more star if the company had included instructions. Safe is fine otherwise. My contractor installed the floor safe and lost the information and combination. Not the companies fault, but the company phone numbers don’t work!! Got through once and promptly got disconnected and called a hundred times over days with no answer then error tones!!!! Went to their website and found a form to use to get a security code reset. Fillable PDF, hit save and emailed back to company. Heard nothing for a couple days. Looked at my email and opened the PDF and it was blank! The form will not save. Sent multiple emails before getting a filled in PDF with my credit card info to pay for a code reset. Got an email yesterday and IMMEDIATELY replied with my telephone number. More than 24 hrs later and nothing! First contact with them was nearly a week now and no resolution. GRRRRRRRR! This was not a cheap safe!!

Buy a reputable brand
Combo doesn't work. Now it's encased in concrete in my floor and Protex wants me to email them to communicate my problem. What, you don't have a phone number for me to call about my $500 safe not opening after it's been installed in my concrete slab?!
