Accurate and comfortable
This has replaced a Bulova golf watch that I used for at least 10 years but suddenly quit working. It has more features. Most of which? I won't use. It's a very good basic golf watch. First thing I noticed is that the battery life in this watch is amazing. It lasts multiple rounds. Fairly easy to set up. It advances as it should hole to hole. Yardage is accurate. Very comfortable to wear, super light.

Why haven’t I ever had one?
I’ve been golfing a long time. I don’t know why I never had one of these gps golf watches? It’s rare I would say “it’s a game changer” for things. But I gotta say after researching golf watches and come upon this one in particular I’m sold. To the S12 now, I’m not a stranger to electronic devices we all have them. However on a golf course while playing it needs to be: easy to use and navigate through functions, easy to read in rainy or sunny conditions with a lot of glare, accuracy is key also looks and feels good wearing it along with tough durability. Definitely all of these things and more. I played my first 18 (pouring rain first 4 holes) with it after getting accustomed to the functions and being familiar enough to actually use it. I was thrilled with the performance and ease of use. Funny I only somewhat generally knew how far I was hitting each club.. now I know for sure. Big help cutting scores just that alone. On only two holes I noticed it didn’t move to next.. so I manually kicked over to next hole pretty easily. On another that was close to last green as well.. just walked over to tee box and it flipped automatically easy peezy. If that’s a negative thing I’ll take that all day every day no problems here. All in all I’m super happy with the S12 from seller to fast delivery to actual accuracy and simplicity of use it’s been a very good purchase. Hopefully I get even better at using it’s functions and that it holds up for a long time. In closing you can spend a lot more on a gps golf watch for sure. So far this seems to be well worth the money. I can pretty much guarantee you won’t have to ask anyone for yardages again. It does enough and well enough in my book not to be a major distraction and balances high tech and useful features to up your game and joy of playing golf.

I've used it twice. The first time I'd give it 3 stars. The second time 5 stars.
I've wanted a GPS golf watch for a long time. I settled on this one for three reasons. First, two guys I regularly play with have one and both love theirs. Secondly, my golf game doesn’t require a more expensive model that provides an endless list of detailed information. Third, the watch finally came back on sale for $50 off. It seems to periodically. I’ve used it twice. Here's my reaction so far: Liked: * Rather than hoping that someone in my foursome will have a GPS, now I can just glance down at my wrist. So convenient. * I like the multiple-face display configurations. I have mine set so the numbers showing the distance to the middle of the green are extra large, which makes the number I care about easy to see, even in bright sunlight. * Super comfortable. Normally, I hate wearing watches but this one is ultra-lightweight and didn’t bother me a bit. * I’m no techie but downloading the app and pairing the watch to my I phone 13 was a breeze. * This watch provides far more information than my golf game requires but it’s nice to know it’s there if I start getting better. * No complaints about battery life. I still had plenty of power left after two rounds. Didn’t like: * On several holes during my first round, my watch had trouble finding the next hole. Even my cart-mate, who has the same watch, couldn't figure out why. His watch found every hole without any problem. That was frustrating. But during my second round (at a different course), it performed flawlessly. In fact, during that round, the golf cart had a GPS screen. I compared the distance on my watch with the cart GPS and found they were very close every time. * It took longer than I expected for the watch to locate and load the course, but I don’t consider that a major issue. * There is definitely a learning curve. I read the instructions at home but it's challenging to practice using it unless you're actually at a course with the course downloaded.

Golf GPS Watch, no BS.
I'm 67 years old. I want a simple, reliable, accurate, look down and read the yards in big numbers, on a sunny day. I previously owned a S10 which did the same thing but the S12 does a bit more. I can add the CT10 sensors to the S12. I can pair it to my phone to look at stats afterwards. I can look at where the traps and water hazards are by a quick push of a button. It pairs quickly to the outerspace GPS machine floating around the earth. A black and white number screen, not color. I dont need color - I know what color the green is. I also like the price. I tried the S62 and didnt have the patience to remember what buttons to push to see info. All I need to know is how far the hole is and how far a hazard is. The S12 does it.

So light weight you do not......
So light weight I do not even know it is there. No readers necessary to see the numbers. Very easy to set up and use. This is perfect if you do not want all of the extra bells and whistles.

Perfect watch for your golfer who is not tech savvy!
Bought this Garmin for my husband recently who loves golf. Garmin has a good selection of golf watches and my husband is not tech savvy. I read this is the non techy persons best watch. I bought it for Christmas but gave it to him early bc it’s winter and he was fitting in some golf before the courses closed. While it doesn’t have the AMOLED screen- which makes me sad- he doesn’t care. It connects easily, super accurate, great function, and fit. The features are perfect for that person that curses at technology. I haven’t heard one swear word come out of his mouth when using this watch. He can barely use the features on his iPhone and if that’s the person you are or have then this watch is what you want.
