Jack Cavanaugh is a great writer. Never a lack of excitement and action amidst a great story. He sticks with history and should he not, then he explains his reason for a little variation. I'm going to feel like I lost a friend when I finish this 7 book series and I'm in the last 3/4 of the last book. Come on Jack, write another series. Pleasssse!

Reading this continuous series shows how history is fun, educational and keeps your attention from beginning to end! Highly recommend!

Loved this book! Jack Cavanaugh has a way of taking you inside the story. One of if not THE best Authors I have ever found. I have read most of his books and am alway's hungry for more. Amazon has become my favoriite book and DVD source. Alway's satisfied with condition of merchandise and alway's fast delivery and great customer service..what more could you want. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I enjoyed all the American Family Portraits books. I learned more of our history in reading this series than I did in all the years I attended school. I would recommend them to all American to read, the books tell us of the sacrifices and hardships others went through. Because of them we live in freedom, there gift to us. I

An easy fun read. I like the lack of foul language. I also like the positive moral tones of the story.

We cannot compare our lives with the lives of this family. Their struggles and fortitude give me courage. Thanks Jack for bringing to life these struggles. With God's strength we can do anything.
