Penguin Readers Level 7: The Woman in White (ELT Graded Reader): A Practical Introduction to Gardening

I did not have the time or patience to read a 500+ pages Victorian era classic, and so I read this abridged version, condensed to 100 pages.I had heard a lot about The Woman in White and had seen a TV serial long back, which was based on this book. That's why I was curious to read it. But unfortunately, the book neither lived up to the hype nor did it stand the test of time. It may have been popular enough to be called a cult classic in its day, but doesn't hold enough interest for present day readers.I'm glad I didn't waste time on the original.

La storia é intricata e intrigante il giusto. È una lettura abbastanza scorrevole e non noiosa per chi vuole migliorare il proprio livello di conoscenza della lingua inglese. Alla fine del libro ci sono degli esercizi.
