I was so happy to receive this item because it is wider than the sealer I received with my portable air conditioner. These panels are thicker and stronger. There were many pieces on panel I didn't have a problem with fitting into window. There should be butterfly nuts in package one box didn't have them. I ordered two sets of these seals. The other box had the butterfly nuts. Looks like someone returned without butterfly nuts. These butterfly nuts are large they will only fit this panel. I had other panels with my a/c but the butterfly nuts were smaller but it could work. That's what I had to do use my smaller ones. Stores don't carry these. I tried home Depot not the same. I did buy some from Amazon so I was able to assemble the panels. I do recommend also buying the vinyl strip cover to use with panels. I don't use the sticky Velcro strip because it make everything look dirty and it sticks to everything including curtains windows and everything in comes in contact. I want to be able to remove panel and downsize it when it rains. The sticky stuff will jam the slide. Price was good. I don't have buy anything else. I like the appearance inside and outside window. Anyone can install these very easy.

This kit worked with my 5.9" diameter exhaust hose perfectly. There are four extendable plates, so this should fit even a wide window. What I like is that you can configure two, three, or four plates together to fit your window. If it's too large with all four plates together, as the instructions will have you do, you can simply remove one of the plates which are labeled B. This way it can never be too small, or too large, to fit properly. I think the quality is very good overall at this price point. I don't think you need anything fancier than this. It sits flush in the window. The insulating tape is very sticky. The only thing is that the hose connector which clips into the window panel, does not give the tightest seal. But this has been the case with every panel I've used, including the ones that came with the unit in the first place, which also use those horrible clips. Apparently this is just the "industry standard". Other than that overall it fits well, was not a pain to assemble, and is pretty good quality.

I bought a vent kit from a different vendor/company last year. This portable a/c vent kit is much sturdier and is of better quality. It was easy to put together, without instructions and adapts easily to most wondow sizes. If you have smaller windows, one of the panels might need to be cut. The panels are fairly narrow, and the color matches most windows. The only thing I dislike about this kit is the insulation tape that comes with it. It's too thick. When the panels are attached together, it leaves a small gap less than half the size of the thickness of the tape. So, if you insulate around all the panels, there will still be a gap. I found it difficult to plug up the gaps and get it even around all the edges. Suggestions for all users: 1) Buy a roll of thinner insulation tape to seal around the panels. 2) Buy a roll of aluminum foil reflective insulation to cover the panels and to wrap around your vent hose (use zip ties to secure). A lot of heat escapes through the vent hose (and through the window). If you insulate, you'll get better cooling. 3) Buy a roll of foil HVAC tape to seal everything up. This tape can withstand high temps. 4) Buy some sliding window locks to prevent people from breaking in through the window. Overall, this portable a/c vent kit is sturdier than some other brands, and works well with some tweaking.

Seems like it's going to work I haven't put it in yet I probably should have a long time ago cuz it's been sitting in my room but it has a lot of parts to it and it looks like it's going to fit nicely

This window kit worked perfectly with my portable air conditioner. It was easy to adjust to the size of my window, and the hose connected securely without any issues. Once installed, it stayed in place and sealed the opening well so hot air was not coming back into the room. The material feels sturdy, and the setup looks clean. Definitely a good replacement kit for a portable AC unit.

Worked okay. The hose doesn’t stay locked into the window attachment very well. Stays attached but does not seal properly.

I have the extension that comes with my AC unit yet when I moved the only window that I can place it in is a pull-up window and it’s skinnier than most windows so I had to find the correct adapter and this works perfectly. I’m super pleased with this, I still have the spare pieces that make it extra long in a box in storage, but it absolutely had what I needed.
