This is a low quality product. It stopped working after about a year and gives only 2-3 minutes of backup.

I purchased the Luminous LMU1202 Mini UPS with the expectation of reliable power backup for my WiFi router during outages. Unfortunately, this product has not met its advertised claims and has proven to be ineffective in providing any backup power whatsoever. Despite meticulously following the charging instructions, including charging the device for over 8 hours as recommended, the unit failed to function as expected from the very first power cut. I connected the Luminous LMU1202 to the main power source and then connected my router to its output, anticipating a seamless transition during a power interruption. However, when a power outage occurred, the device did not provide any power to the router, rendering it useless for its intended purpose. This lack of functionality was evident from the initial attempt to use it during a power cut. The primary reason for purchasing this mini UPS was to ensure uninterrupted internet connectivity, and on this crucial aspect, the Luminous LMU1202 has regrettably failed entirely.

Updated November 10, 2022: Output AMPs are a bit lower than Jio router but works great. Have 2 of these cascaded and works well. Old one battery doesn’t last longer, I guess the life of these is about a year or few months more. Long term usage Review (August 24, 2021): Great product, no issues so far. No need to worry about power cuts to Jio or ACT Routers. 3rd Updated Review (June 16, 2021): After around few power cuts and with new Jio Router which uses little more than 2 Amps, the battery backup is coming to around 3.5 hrs from earlier 4.5 hrs. The backup depends upon power consumption. 2nd Updated Review: After 24 hrs of charging while connected the output to router, tested with wall power switch off and the backup UPS lasted for 4.5 hrs. There was no lag in power cut interruptions and the WiFi Router didn’t get reset. Out of Box Review (Old): Amazon published Backup Hours: 4 Hours, but the User Manual that came in the box states: Backup Hours for 2 A load is 1 hour, for 1 A load is 1.5 hours, and for 0.5 A load is 3.5 hours. Most routers are between 1.5 and 2 A load and if this comes just 1 hour. No Charger Cable when Rs 2500+ is paid for this tiny battery that lasts only 1 hour. Incorrect Amazon Product Information: Ideal for 12V Routers up to 2.5A, CCTV, POS Machines Good Power backup - 4hrs Lithium Battery Energy Content - 3 Watt Hours Intelligent charging - 1hr Conflicting information from Product Manual that came with the box: Backup Hours: 3 Hrs for 0.5 A, 1.5 Hrs for 1 A and 1 Hrs for 2 A. Charging required: Minimum of 10 hrs for good backup to work.

Works great, Good battery life and Ease of Installation. I basically installed it myself. They give different types of connectors so there's no issue. Just the wire size is kinda small but manageable. Good for everyday use.

The ups is a fit and forget device that gives uninterrupted power to the jio optical fibre router. A must have power backup that can stretch for over three hours when fully charged. Seeing the green LED light up with the dim red LED as I switched on the power came as a shock; as I tested the same after an hour by switching off the power to see only the red LED remain with an increase in glow. I re switched the power; and both the LED’ s were glowing. I assumed I should check after the ten hour charging; but still the Red LED remained to glow with less intensity; so switched back the power. Worried; what now. However, after a period of around 12.5 hours when I switched off the power no LED was glowing. In all the switching on and off, not once did the Wi-Fi router stop or its green LED turn off: I assumed the UPS was working perfectly. After a week; I decided to check its stand by capacity and it turned out to be 3.5 hours. I also noticed after ten minutes or so without power the Red LED started to glow. In short, the UPS device is an excellent fit and forget power backup for 12v 2 amp Wi-Fi and I assume both green and dim Red LED glow to show the UPS is getting power(green) while the Red LED warns the ups is ready to take on a power outrage. Hope, its intelligent charging system can save battery life, for it to work for 3-5 years.

You don't get to know how useless this product it until u get a power-cut. If you just switch on and off the main source it may work for a few minutes but that's it.. totally unreliable, doesn't provide any backup.. Also the customer care is outsourced and the company is least bothered about the customer woes... call them or write a mail..they don't care at all. DON'T WASTE UR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT

Writing this after 1 month usage. If your work is online and power interruptions are gonna impact you then it is the product for you to go ahead with. Pros: 1. Very good backup - had a recent power of 50+ minutes and Wifi router work smoothly. 2. Compact in size. Cons: 1. Manufacturing date shown as 2021. 2. No power of and on button. Overall, I have an year warranty and the product from a reputable brand so comfortable with manufacturing date. Typical age of these products is upto 1 to 2 years, Last power bank / mini ups lasted for an 16 months.

I found this very useful during short time power failure. I bought this 3 years ago. Since then it was giving back up of 3 and half hours. Now a days it has come down to 2 hours back up. Actually Worth buying it. May be some pieces comes faulty with very less back up
