Costly but worth the upgrade
The size is a comfort to write on, the pen response and feel is premium Wacom. The touch feature allows you to ise it as a large trackpad and combined with the wheel and expresskeys - you can streamline your workflow - all the niggly things that you had to do by mouse or keyboard can now be done directly from the tablet - it saves up so much time throughout a session and increases productivity.

A worthy upgrade from my small Intous one.
It's a really good upgrade from anyone coming from a smaller Wacom intous or Wacom one. The feel of the surface while drawing is very satisfying compared to the other two and you can really feel the upgraded pressure sensitivity of the new wacom pro pen. It's worth every penny in my opinion. Although i feel the plastic material for the surface could've been a bit better. I had gone on a small trip and had put my wacom pro inside a carry pouch but sadly it got scuffed up and scratched somehow. The only thing I'd put on top of the carry pouch was my logitech mx mouse. Either ways, it doesnt affect my drawing experience since the scuffs came outside the useable drawing area so its fine but take extra precautions while travelling with your wacom pro, this thing is extremely fragile.

I purchased the Wacom Intuos Pro Medium (PTH-660/K0-C) for my partner as an upgrade from his well-worn Intuos Pro from the early 2010s, and it’s been the perfect next step in his creative workflow. After much deliberation about holding off for a newer model, I ultimately chose this one for its multi-touch feature, which he uses daily—this alone was a deal breaker and made this model the clear choice. Wacom continues to prove its reliability. My partner is meticulous with his equipment and uses his tablet heavily for professional work, and this new model lives up to expectations. The sleeker, thinner body design is a welcome change from the older, chunkier model, giving it a more modern feel without sacrificing durability. The ExpressKeys are intuitive and positioned perfectly—not awkwardly placed like in the 2025 Intuos Pro. This made adapting to the this model easy and natural for him. The Pro Pen 2 is also a standout improvement. With its increased pen pressure sensitivity and overall responsiveness, the drawing experience is fluid, accurate, and noticeably more refined. Although we were slightly concerned about nib wear and surface damage (especially since we couldn’t find smooth sheet covers in medium size), we’ve had no issues so far even with consistent daily use. The surface remains in excellent condition, and nibs—both felt and standard—haven’t worn down prematurely. We'll likely still get a protective sheet eventually for peace of mind, but it hasn't been urgent. As for size, I initially worried the medium might feel small due to its thinner appearance, but it’s perfectly sized for his setup and work needs. A large wouldn’t have fit on his desk, and despite having a Cintiq, he still prefers this Intuos for its familiarity, comfort and ability to work fast. All in all, this model is a solid, smart investment and continues the legacy of quality Wacom is known for. Here’s hoping it lasts just as long as the last one—it’s already earned its place on the desk.

Having upgraded from small non-pro to medium pro paper edition, the upgrade is certainly worth it. Have not tried with Bluetooth as yet, but am finding the Intuos Pro Medium Paper Edition is very responsive, and the Inkscape software works very well. I am using with Inkscape & OneNote mostly for flowcharts and equations, and for me this is a big step-up. For sketching with Corel Painter it works very well, certainly has capability beyond my sketching abilities, so I think this would be very well suited for artists of any level but particularly for hobbyists like myself to have scope to develop.

I bought an (A5/medium) Intuos 3 back in 2004. It was and still is a testament to Wacom's build quality. Fast forward 17 years and it still works, but since upgrading to OSX Catalina and after hours of trying workarounds on forums I had to accept defeat. I wasn't enthused about being forced to upgrade, but I supposed 17 years is a great innings for a piece of electronic gear. Research I researched the hell out of a replacement. I investigated other brands which are significantly cheaper or appear to offer better value. I considered a Cintiq. What I found via Amazon verified reviews, commercial reviews and youtubers is that the Wacom difference comes down to latency, build quality and look & feel. I came full circle by settling on the medium Intuos Pro. Packaging If Apple's packaging is 5 stars, Wacom's is a 4. That's a pretty good score I think. It was easy to unpack and a decent chunk of it is recyclable. Build Within seconds of removing the packing film I felt I had made the right choice. It sounds silly to say this but things have really improved in 17 years. It feels solid and inspires confidence. In Use I've barely used it 5 minutes, but I am very impressed. The Intuos 3 was never perfect but I knew how to make it do what I needed. The Intuos Pro feels tight. Whether it's tethered via USB-C or Bluetooth, there's no hint of lag on my 2020 16" MBP in Photoshop. I was floored by the experience. Why did I wait so long? Furthermore, I was impressed by its trackpad for hand gestures and general use. I feel like Wacom doesn't advertise this hard enough. The trackpad is really responsive and seemingly there's no lag. It may just replace my mouse. That said, I felt that sometimes the trackpad activated when my hand touched it as I was trying to use the pen. So I'd end up zooming in way too far in photoshop, for example. I'll have to learn to avoid that. Texture I thought I might have to upgrade the Pro's surface to the rough texture as I never enjoyed the very smooth texture of the Intuos 3. However, the standard texture feels spot on, especially with one of the included felt nibs. I dare say you'll go through nibs faster, but I think that's a fair trade off. Kit In the included kit are samples of the rough and smooth textures so you can try before you buy. I think most won't need to upgrade as the standard texture offers a good amount of resistance—especially with a felt nib. It comes with a good number of spare nibs and the nib holder/pen cradle is a really solid inclusion. Conclusion I doubt this thing will last 17 years, if you need a tablet—just get it. You won't be sorry.

my first tablet. had no idea how it works and what size I needed. for a beginner like me the small size tablet would have been enough to practise with. to work with the pen is not as easy as it looks and with lots and lots of practise I finally got the hang of it. so far I am happy with the tablet. it arrived well on time. the box where the tablet arrived in is just beautiful and a piece of art in itself. the driver for my iMac was easy to install. free download from the Wacom web site...
