36volt 18amp Golf Cart Battery Charger with Anderson SB-50 connector

I was buying and using trickle chargers to charge the batteries on my golf cart. They weren't lasting very long but were only about $90. When I had to buy another one four months after I had just bought one, I knew something was wrong. I talked to other people who used trickle chargers and people who used good chargers.I decided to investigate which charger for the money I should buy. When I finished my research, this DPI charger was my choice. I've been using it for a few months now and I'm glad I spent the money. Yes, I could have bought four trickle chargers for the money I spent. But those chargers won't last the amount of time this DPI charger will. This charger is the last one I'll need to purchase.I just use my cart during the day and when I get home, I plug it in and forget about it. The charger has an automatic shutoff switch to keep it from burning up. It has a gauge so you can keep track of the charge. Best of all, it came with the weird plug that my cart has. I would say I'd buy it again but I shouldn't have to buy one again!!!Update as of 7/31/2021: I'm still using this charger. I haven't had any problems with it, knock on wood. So I had purchased 3 of those trickle chargers in the space of a year for a total of almost $300. They all burned up. I've had this charger for more than 3 years, paying around $300. I'd say my ROI is through the roof on this.

This thing is great. What a step up from my old charger. I thought my batteries were going bad, but they were not. The old style charger can be used for a doorstop. The old charger would only run when it was plugged into my golf cart and there was no way of telling if it was working right. This one tells you how your charge is and you can leave it plugged in all the time. The old one I had to unplug and then re-plug it in during the winter months too keep the batteries from freezing you have to make sure they're charged. This new charger keeps a charge going all the time it's plugged in and I believe the batteries are at peak charge.

Nothing aggravates me more when I can't contact the manufacturer. All I can do is subscribe. Secondly two years of use and the meter went bad. That's some serious. BS makes it sort of useless.

Nothing wrong.

I love this charger. First it is $100 less than most similar chargers and weighs less. It allows for reversed connections. It checks for ok battery and whenl all is good it slowly ramps up to 20 amp charge for most of the time. When batteries get close to full charge it ramps down slowly to zero and in all stages it shows indicators of its condition. It is quiet, no hum. I made a new connector using a 12AWG ac cord to keep this device out of the elements. I can strongly recommend this charger to anyone. In use first plug in the battery and then plug in the charger to AC.

This replaces my 25 year old charger that still works but it was time to upgrade. Heavy built unit that is more compact than the old one and has more features so you know what the charger is actually doing. Not a cheap unit but worth the money imo and customer service is US based and knowledgeable as I had a question, called, and it was answered.Would recommend this product.

This charger did not come with a manual so there is no way to tell if the thing is set properly for my battery pack.

This charger has proven to be great. The switch settings I originally used based on the CD that came with the unit proved to be problematic until I researched the latest manual on the web and got the correct settings for my specific model of Trojan battery. Since then it has been awesome. I now leave it plugged in whenever the cart is not in use and it maintains the batteries beautifully
