Plastic clips broke!
I purchased this bag about four months ago for use with my kit as a highway first responder. Initially, I was pleased. Everything about the bag seemed to be great given the low cost. But I started to run into issues with the plastic buckles on the top. I found that, over time just by regular insertion and removal, the buckles would crack along the side and eventually shatter apart. I thought this might be an isolated issue, so I contacted Lightning X who confirmed there is a warranty on the bag, and sent another one. Well, that bag, too, had buckles that shattered. I contacted them AGAIN, and this time the President of Lightning X, John Spivey, responded saying "I will take care of this right away", and ended up sending a third bag to me. It has the SAME buckles as before. One of the agents I was speaking to had mentioned that it seems this production run has buckles that are of insufficient quality, and are made with cheap non-reinforced plastic. I had this suspicion confirmed with a materials engineer friend of mine who inspected the buckle pieces and confirmed he thought they used just poured plastic, not nylon reinforced plastic. So now I have three bags, all with terrible buckles, and I've had to move all my medical gear, labeling, and everything between these bags multiple times, dealing with a bag that's falling apart as I'm trying to do medical calls for people in need. This isn't the kind of experience a first responder should be having with this kind of equipment.Thankfully, the rest of the bag is actually of great quality. The stitching is all holding together nicely, the zippers are doing great despite my bag stressing one of the side pockets with an overfilled BVM. It's actually working fairly well.My solution going forward is to not purchase any more of these bags, and to use the ones I have with field replaceable buckles you can get on Amazon specifically to repair this kind of problem. (Search for Sea To Summit Field Repair Buckle 1" 1-pin, ASIN B00BTO3H42) I'm sorry to report that if you want a reputable, strong bag to use for first response use, this might not be the best solution at this time due to the defect in the product. But it is a workable problem, if you're able to replace the buckles as they break.

Holds so much! Great for a First Aid Plus first responder bag.
The media could not be loaded. I am a Safety Warden at my company, certified for First Aid and CPR. I also like to be ready for life's little boo boos, whether my own or someone who might need my help. So, I decided to purchase this bag, stock it with suitable items and keep in my vehicle. (Never know when you might be an accident first responder.)The bag is well-made, is about the size of a small gym bag, and has a good layout of sections / pockets. I do wish that the top lid had a few PALS / MOLLE points, for attaching rapid-access items like a tourniquet. However, I was able to improvise attachments for mine.I've included a video overview so you can get a better sense of just how much it can hold, which is A LOT. I'm able to carry everything from various OTC meds (ibuprofen, aloe vera gel, throat lozenges, etc) all the way up to gauze pads + rolls, wound wash, tourniquet, chest seals, celox, face shields, space blankets, and a SAM splint. I even have a 20oz bottle of water for re-hydration needs. (Many of the products were purchased here on Amazon too. See below.)Overall, I love this bag. It's perfect for my level of skill & needs. I would •highly• recommend it & would purchase it again without hesitation. I've shown it to my company's Safety Officer in the hope they will buy some too.Amazon other product links:• Gerber EAB Pocket Knife ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016KHW2W• Olight S1 Mini Baton Rechargeable Flashlight ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077NRD65S• SAM Splint ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001J5H92C• HyFin Vent chest seal ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KQS2NGK• FOX chest seal ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CWFCFNQ• Celox hemostatic granules, 35 gram ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004NG8V1M• Celox homostatic granuals, 2g * 10 count ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079G3FQ1J• Adventure Medical Advanced Clotting Sponge, 50g ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HJTH22E• H&H Compression Trauma Bandage ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003UNTZ7S• Vertex emergency blanket ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XPRQJRF• ADC Adsafe CPR face shield ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FVXMLI• Rusch Inc Nasopharyngeal Airway tube ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003950R2E• BSN Medical Leukotape sports tape ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E59HXC• Wysi Wipes ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001NWVBPC

Great bag
I use this bag for SAR in the white mountains. You could build a tougher bag, maybe by picking up a small pvc duffel and sewing on some reflectors, but this one I find ideal. It's juuuust tough enough, has two rough built in organizers for quickly separating stuff. Makes it easy to sort critical care items and less dramatic supplies. It doesn't have a zipper on the main compartment- this is a good thing. The flaps keep things in place and the two large buckles holding the lid shut are quicker access than a zipper. Even better- the Velcro for the flap is roughly placed as a strip, so when you're in a hurry you don't have to be fussy about lining up the Velcro. It does have two side pockets that zip shut. I keep meds in one and splints in the other. The lid also has a zippered pocket itself, accessed from the inside. The neatly sewn elastic loops do a great job holding onto penlights, trauma shears etc. Honestly this bag is well thought out for the priceI really think the price is fair. Don't buy a stocked med kit. They are all rip offs. Buy a bag like this and build your own medical kit. The bag and the contents will be higher quality and more thought out.
